It’s a complete Sophie’s choice; either outcome is awful. We lose our best player to the club that is genuinely our closest rival in terms of 4th/5th position over the last few years. Or keep him and demoralise everyone and have the club in limbo, watching him run down his contract. And then he likely goes to that same club for nothing.
I loveVonnegutBusy idea of really trying to go out in a blaze of glory and do everything in our power to put players of his level around him, but there’s absolutely zero evidence of that happening.

Olise is an incredible footballer. All the tools to be a great. It's such a shame we never signed him when we had real interest. That interest seemed to die when we sacked Mourinho, oddly enough.
