Our coach wants Trossard. Make a low offer after 2 weeks of thinking about it, gets rejected, move on.
Their coach wants Trossard. Pay the fee, get the deal done in hours.
Whether you rate Trossard or not is absolutely irrelevent. Their coach wanted him so they did the deal. They were happy to do the deal for the other guy at £80m as well until Chelsea probably doubled his salary.
We're small time. We are operating at a lower level in the transfer market than every other top half team. If only for the fact some of them act quickly and move on quickly if there is no deal to be done.
Last January we wasted the whole of January thinking about making a move for Traore only for him to go to Barcelona on loan in a deal that would have suited us.
Every window, every year, there is always at least 1 player who we pursue the whole window and then don't sign.
