Transfers January 2023 Transfer Thread. The Big One

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Portugal poster followed by Alistair Gold, Fabrizio Romano and others, so more reliable than most :

Translation :

Pedro Porro at Tottenham is done. Transfer of 45 M€. Contract will be signed tomorrow (Sunday). Spanish right-back said goodbye to Sporting today in the defeat to FC Porto in the League Cup final

Pedro Porro: Tottenham pays the 45 M€ + % of the solidarity mechanism

Whether good, bad or indifferent - he's ours now unless we say no at the last minute !

Seems to be Conte's choice. Given how week TFC rated the alternatives to Hakimi in the summer (e do not expect perfection on day one), he might not be an instant success but its clear he has more attacking instincts than Royal which is what is required from a RWB.... and there are not many if any better alternatives

These stories are so predictable these days, and not even funny anymore.
Journalist use that myth every story now. Every player we want we refuse to pay what they want, i mean come on?!

And IF it was true in this case i can totally understand it. Hincapie´s market value is 25mil euros, and Leverkusen want £80mil, that´s ridiculous!

He´s also reported as making a lot of mistakes, wich is understandable for a 21 year old. But is that what we need right now? Sounds like the CB´s we already got

Nothing is ever completely 'done' until the contract(s) is/are signed.

Hopefully that happens on Sunday (or latest Monday) when he's in London arriving to do his medical, unless the contract is already signed subject to passing a medical etc.

But the aggregators have no clue - only interested in attracting clicks by posting stories

Now Conte will have him on the bench for 3 months to learn, adapt, and improve

A LOT can change in a short space of time but still... we need to pick 8 players eh. So who would you pick?

Lloris, Forster, Austin, Goalie

Perisic, Spence, Doherty, Udogie, Royal, Sessegnon, Right wingback

Dier, Davies*, Tanganga, Sanchez, Romeo, Lenglet, Rodon, Centre Back, Centre Back

Skipp, Sarr, Winks, NDombele, Hojbjerg, White, Lo Celso, Bentancur, Bissouma

Kulusevski, Son, Gil, Kane, Lucas, Richarlison, Scarlett, Parrott, Dan's Jumper

*UEFA changed their ruling, aligning with the Premier League; Welsh players qualify as 'homegrown' - Ally Gold

Overall, he's probably not as good defensively as Emerson or Aurier but doesn't have the errors in his game that Aurier has. Much better offensively than all three of them.
Dude seriously wtf , Porro is Gangster he akin to Cancelo .... he is what we are missing SOOOOOOOOO BADLY going forward but he can also defend......... having ROMERO next to him is a godsend, and the fact Romero doesnt have to play 2 positions in one and can concentrate on his own without worrying about another position because of a shit player ....... So many Negative Nellys FFS:contethumb:

He may not be elite defensively but he'll also help Kulu a lot too. A smart player like him needs a teammate he can combine with to create something good.
