If Dragusin had a scar across his face from one eye down to the opposite of his chin, he'd be a perfect action film henchman. He already almost looks like Khal Drogo.

Jonathan Frakes used to drink in my local bar when I was young and stupid where the bartender used to let our crew drink ‘ free’ knowing that we would tip him massively when leaving at closing time.
Frakes would generally drink alone, standing at the end of the bar. He has the patience of a saint. He must have heard ‘Make it so, number two’ from us drunks hundreds (if not thousands) of times. I have no idea how he didn’t punch one of us out.

My worry with our bald leader is his mindset is completely different to the Spurs fans and Ange. We are all united in wanting a CB In immediately, so he can settle in quickly and we have some quality at the back with our injuries etc. Levy’s thinking is Romero will only miss a few games and VDV possibly back mid Jan, means we can struggle through it until end of Jan. 100% that will be his mindset to not sign a CB straight away and we all know it
I'm sure Levy isn't involved anymore, in anything else than setting a budget.

It’s got to be Munn. His in charge of all football operations. Although since his officially joined no idea what he actually does. Must be great having a job paying so much where the manager and scouting team take the brunt and have your boss as public enemy no.1.
It’s munns job along with Lange or whoever to identify players and get the deals done on what Ange needs.
I’d be suprised if we don’t have anything done in the first week.

Ange right now

Gomez, whose current contract is set to expire in June 2027, is considering a move away from Anfield in search of more prominence. However, Liverpool are not ready to offload their utility defender midway through the season.

Many fans and pundits alike downplayed Gomez after his struggles last season, believing his injury struggles have taken a toll. However, the 26-year-old centre-back has been a key asset of Liverpool’s squad this season, and Jurgen Klopp has deployed him in both right-back and left-back roles in several games.

With left-back duo Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas both injured, Liverpool have to keep Gomez fit and available until the other left-backs return from their injuries.

With Joel Matip also out injured and his long-term future hanging in the balance, Liverpool are now unlikely to let a player with that kind of flexibility leave the club. Tottenham will have to turn their radar elsewhere, with Liverpool set to rebuff their intentions to entice Gomez away from Anfield.

0% chance they let him go right now, and zero-er percent chance they sell him to us.

You know none of that's conclusive. Listen to Elton John on his first marriage its enlightening .Paul O'grady had a daughter too. If it's and as you suggest a childish sense of humour then it's worse...because you start to board on some weird baked in homophobia. Its kind of barley understandable when you are a teenage boy but he's a big ass man. He should do better..Its kind of why I stopped listening.
Fair enuf - Hadn’t really given much thought other than I don’t want my young kid listening to it.

But mulling it over now - Not sure about the homophobia - His humor just strikes me as immature lad humor - it’s been a while since I listened but as I recall Flav was crass about everything and everyone not just same sex stuff - Off the top of my head - would you let said player/manger sleep with your missus for better performances, inappropriate mum jokes, comparing Kane trying to force to City with your misuses leaving for a richer man - etc etc. But who knows - other than Flav himself.

Have to admit I find some of it funny - cause it’s just way over the top. Less than I used to though … The missus still constantly telling me I need to grow up and she’s not

Don’t expect all of this to get done in January but I’d like to see it by the start of next season. If we do qualify for the Champions League it becomes even more important that we’ve got the quality in depth to rest and rotate, otherwise we’re going to end up in the shite position that we’re currently in with half the squad out injured. Ange plays high intensity football, so injuries are more likely,

Sell
Reguilon - Never starting over Udogie and he is no better than Davies who is HG.
Gil- Argument could be made to loan him out but I just don’t think he’s physical enough for the Prem. He has been here a while and hasn’t seemed to have won the confidence of any manager.
Lloris - obvious reasons (Legend though)
Dier - obvious reasons (Been here for fucking ages and has served us well despite being a limited player)
Højbjerg - he's actually doing better than I thought he would, but obviously isn't Ange's first choice
Perisic - seems like he's heading to Croatia. Brutal injury.
Royal - not quite good enough to justify taking a NHG spot, if Spence improves this year I imagine he'll be replacing him as Porro's back up.
Lo Celso - I like him, he is a good player but I can't imagine he'll want to stay and play back up to Maddison. Especially now that Kulusevski has shown how good he is in that role too. He'll have a load of teams interested in him and we might be able to get a fair amount of money for him.Definitely not until the summer though.

Sessegnon? Injured so don’t know what Ange makes of him. But if anyone is going to get him playing well it’s him. HG definitely counts for something too.

Loan out
Veliz, Dorrington, Phillips, Scarlett, Parrott and a couple others.

This leaves us with

GK
Vicario
Forster - HG
Austin - HG
Whiteman - HG

RWB
Porro
Spence - HG (on the basis that he has improved/shown enough)

CB
Romero
van der Ven

LWB
Udogie
Davies - HG (He has always been solid for us and is happy playing back up. Would be daft to get rid)

CM
Skipp - HG (Hasn't shown much this season, might not suit this style of football but he's HG, young enough and I doubt he'll be going anywhere considering our first team picks itself and he seems happy playing back up)
Bissouma
Bentancur
Sarr
Maddison - HG

Forwards
Son
Richarlison
Kulusevski
Johnson - HG
Solomon

This leaves us with 5 squad place up for grabs.

2 x Centre Backs - One of the CB's we get need to be good enough to start. The other one someone with potential, but can still put a good shift in when called upon. Or even better someone who can operate as a fullback if required.
1 x CM- When we’re fully fit Bentancur/Sarr/Bissouma/Madders have those three positions nailed down but ideally we’d have add someone of a similar standard to give us more depth, I.e. an improvement on Skipp/Højbjerg. Gallagher? Plus he’s HG and Ange seems to like him.
2 x Forwards - We need a new winger who will walk into the first team Johnson isn’t the finished article yet. Same deal with a striker, we need someone who is going to score 20+ a season.

Would anyone take ollise or eze ahead of any of our forwards? Eze id imagine could play attacking 8 where kulu plays. I’d say both are better than most of our forwards in terms of skill level.
I really wanted us to sign Olise when he was available for cheap from Reading a few years back. Would be great to get him now though he’s obviously a tad bit more expensive.

Think he’s a future superstar - his dribbling and passing are off the charts for someone his age. Plus he turned down a move to Blue Scum this summer - which shows he’s not just talented but also a smart young man of high character. 😆😆

Don’t know too much about Eze.

We need CB's

Romero is too unreliable.
Sign another player capable of being the main man at the back.
Let them fight it out for supremacy.
And then sign another CB

Title winning teams don't have to keep shuffling players from other positions into critical ones like CB all season long.

27 and on a one-off purple patch.

Why sign any striker that you think isn’t great?
Think that it’s good nowadays to halve the transfer fee, mentally.

Todays £15m was a £7.5m player just 2-3years ago, type deal.

Not seen him enough to have any opinion, but he’s hitting great numbers and if the data/Ange team think he can tide us over for 18months (say) until Scarlett/Veliz/Par show more clearly if they can step in, no big risk at all.

Bundesliga is much closer to the prem than South American Football, and Veliz has looked way too green so far. Just see him as a potentially ideal buffer signing, who might just surprise us, and can save Son/Richarlisons legs if capable of coming on from 60minutes here and there.

Plus it may allow a chunk spent of a high quality CB and CM (though I suspect we only have money for a CB and the rest will rely on sales of Hojbjerg etc).

Man City have used Ake & Gvardiol as LBs & CBs. Stone has at times played RB, CB & DM. Rico Lewes' played RB & CM. Rodi's played CB and DM.
Alvarez has played as LWF, CF and OM.
Liverpool have also shuffled a bit in their defense. Out of necessity.
No, it's not ideal but at times one does not have a choice.
I do agree with you about selling Romero, though. Yes, he's one of the best CB in the world (when he plays), so if Real M. are interested in him (as has been rumoured) and came in with a £80m bid and if Spurs had a player - like Antonio Silva or de Ligt - already lined up I'd be tempted to sell him.
