I do quite love how convinced many are that Toney is the genuine article as if there haven't been scores of young English goal scorers at small clubs who move to big clubs in expensive transfers and fall flat on their faces. Probably more that have done that than have ever made it.
He was as close to a guaranteed 12+ league goals a season in English football. That costs 60m.
Didn't work out that way but thats the logic i always saw. Guaranteed 12 with the hope of more in a better team than risk a player from elsewhere.
