Pretty sure there are plenty of players over the years who got dogs abuse and very little praise and quite a few managers as well . Eric Dier has been slaughtered way more than he was ever praised at his peak , he is the most recent example

You say that like it's a thing that we shouldn't seek to re-dress.

........It's fine not to give due credit?

Meh.

It's actually better than that......

We've also got Dorrington (18), Phillips (18) and don't forget (we have all forget) Luka Vuskovic (16)

If we can get at least another year's solid service out of Davies as CB4; we just need one of the young'ns to be ready to step up into his place the year after. If so, the bridge to the new gen is in place.

****Subject to the earth imploding or any other unforeseen circumstance.

It's more the fans acting like everything is OK too quickly. We need a sustained period of non interference from Levy, and is identifying our primary targets early and wrapping the deals up efficiently.

If the owners really want Spurs to win on the pitch they need to realise this and stick to it.

They might also find that by stopping their usual tactics, that it opens doors to easier deals in the future.
So would you concede that our TW business, over the last few windows, is sufficient evidence to at least concede that we're heading in that direction?

Bayern fans are a strange bunch.

Must be odd to support a club that wins everything. You have to invent outrage.
or maybe we are just turning the screw......

Their safe place is buying Kane, but even there, deep down, do they think paying £100m for a 30yr old with no ankle ligaments, who only had a year left on his contract, who probably wouldn't have chosen them if he ran his contract down with us. Who is our legend, our king and will never be theirs?

And he's been praised when he's played well, the point being is that no-one would ever say that they're just doing their job when it comes to players/managers so why is the same thing said when it comes to chairman?

What's more folk here praise other club's owners for 'showing ambition' or whatever but I've never heard people say they're just doing their job, make it make sense.
Levy has been praised by some just not all , I bet there are people who have never said a nice word about Lo Celso or Royal or Gil . Equally I bet there were people who never said a good word about Gross , George Graham , Santini .

But Sugar is the relevance because ENIC picked up the club from where he left it not where Scholar left it, you can't re-write history just because it doesn't fit your narrative.

"23 years of failure" has always been a bullshit false narrative.... If there's any truth to the "failure" narrative then we've been a "failure" since the mid 80s. Contrary to the lies of the toxic few (and JTs last avatar!); ENIC didn't end some serial winning streak.

Kane signing for them is a very specific set of circumstances that seems to be the exception to an emerging trend. He's making do with them......

We don’t need a PEH replacement. We need an 8 and the ITK says we are looking for an 8 type. Eze much better 8 than Gallagher who’s fundamentally just another Rice or PEH with better lungs.

The thing with Eze is, he fills two remits , one as an eight and one as a wide forward, who can also dribble at people, again, another function, where lacking.

And he’s HG. With a great attitude by all accounts.
Have you seen much of him Blakey? As I've said, I haven't so my question is over his consistency rather than his ability. What I have seen of him shows that he definitely has the ability, but he seems to drift in and out of games. I only have a small sample pool of that though, so I don't really know.

CP are a bit of a flakey side at times. One minute they're turning over teams with aplomb, the next they're getting eviscerated. Is he part of that issue, or is it happening around him regardless of how well he's playing?

They slowly lowered ambition more aligned to their dismal investment and management

Right so the 'just doing his job' mantra shouldn't stand in that case then, if people deserve praise and criticism in equal measure then keep the same energy for our players/chairman and CEO.
