This kid looks absurd.

If only there was a top club from a top league that seems intent on picking up the best young talent one step early and developing them on loan. Imagine if there was club like that who needed a left-wing forward as well.

Oh wait.

Chelski offered €30m for him this summer but the player himself turned them down, because he wants to play regularly football.

How has this thread got 15 pages 3 months before the window opens?
Is it just a general chat thread in the Spurs subsection of the forum :roflmao:

Aside from us needing another squad option Centre Back.

What's our weakest position regarding our starting 11?

For me personally if Sonny is moving ahead of Richy at CF I think a high quality LW is needed

For context I like Solomon as a squad player just not sure if he hits the 20 combined goals and assists need at champions league level.

Perisic is likely to agree elsewhere in January.

Why does everyone doubt Solomon??
He is an international, works hard and annoys defences when he carries the ball forwards.

Funny how things change so quickly. Having racked up world class numbers in 21/22; suddenly our front line looks like it has the most room for improvement and our MF and defense look on the brink of becoming elite.

I'm a fan of his, I said that when we signed him. He's definitely technically good, is quick, a good dribbler. Just not sure if he gets the numbers required.

With sonny potentially moving CF and Perisic leaving its a big ask for him to hit Sonny's numbers from left wing on a regular basis in my opinion.

I'm glad we pivoted quickly. When it became obvious that Kane wanted out, we had no choice but to re-orient the strengths of the team.

We upgraded in 3 (possibly 4) starting positions through direct transfers and downgraded in 1.

Add in Ange finding ways to make Porro, Udogie, Sarr and Bissouma effective within his frame work and that's 7/8 spots.

Still Bentancur/Bryan to return and we need another winger. Plus maybe an LCB depending....

We'll cross the striker bridge when it's upon us, Richy is going through a crisis of confidence, but Sonny is more than capable of holding the fort.

I knew we'd be fine if we went back to our young, hungry, attacking ethos.

LW definitely in terms of Ange having his preferred profiles. (Mitoma or Nusa for Me)

As things stand, 9 of the 11 pick themselves.

The following players can play as LWF:
Son
Richarlison
Brennan Johnson
Solomon
Porro
Perisic (if Angelos feel he's still need he won't leave Spurs until the summer)

I think Spurs are in more need of a left-footed WF to challenge Kulusevski, unless Gil improves spectacularly after his injury break.

Go in for him in jan, give him half a season loan. Maybe another season loan after that, but either way, Son needs a successor soon, that should be enough to entice him.

We've lost goals up top mate, only Sonny has proved he can be prolific in front of goal out of our current options.

Porro is definitely not a LWF and Perisic will be of in the summer, only scored 1 goal(granted has played mostly LWB). Richarlisons only score 1 League goal.

I think Kulu and Johnson will be primarily RWF.

Leaves us with only Solomon and Sonny as LWF. I think going forward Sonny will become our main CF and Solomon can get a goal but his career suggests he gets about 5 a season.

Gil who knows if he's even good enough, but he seems more of a creator.

Oh wait.

I know we were all going Gaga for Orban this summer but holy fuck, what a player this kid looks. 3 years younger also.

Much rather spunk £30m on that than Orban.
