I have no problem with a CEO overseeing it , unless said CEO has a history of fucking it up , which in my opinion he does.
He fucked it up by taking his eye off the ball whilst the stadium was being built. Prior to that, our player churn was one of the biggest in the league, and saw us step up from relegation flirters to CL regulars.

It's no surprise to me that, now the stadium build is done and dusted, he's stepped in and changed the structure of our management of the Footballing side of the business. So far it's looking like he's done the right thing, though the sample size is still too small to claim one way or the other.

It looks as though Dragusin is imminent, so that may appease some of the natives. At the very least it robs much of the "Levy is fucking up another deal" narrative that gets trotted out in here every time a deal isn't done yesterday.

For what it's worth, I too would like to see us do more business and earlier, but I've seen with my own eyes just how long contract negotiations can take just between 2 parties, let alone 3 or 4, so I'm a bit more sanguine about the whole thing.

One of 'em has to go if we want to add a HG player to the squad.
Whiteman was only in the squad because we had places spare. We had 5 keepers in our PL squad.
Hugo now gone. There is no limit on HG players. We can have 25 if we want. The only limit is on non HG. Max of 17 in a 25 man squad of over 21 players. Under 21 are free pick.
Not sure you understand the rules.
Further to that….what are Austin and Whiteman doing at Tottenham. They are both 25 yrs old and hardly ever played first team football with anyone. A loan here and there. They are basically used as training keepers. Shows a great lack of any ambition. Obviously happy just putting their time in.

I find man buns ridiculous, in normal life, inexcusable really, but for some reason I’m cool with it with this guy. Khal Drogo vibes. Football isn’t real life, it’s comic book stuff.

Unpopular opinion maybe.
I agree on the proviso, he's an actual VVD regeneration total bad ass and hard as fucking adamantium then he can go full WWF and add some war paint really scare that baby Haaland.

I said we’d have been short at CB if he’d stayed the same way we have even though Dier stayed because clearly Ange doesn’t see either as good enough at CB.

Ange sold Davinson and very rarely used Dier. If he sold Dav, he’d have been using him even less than Dier.
And I think he'd have made an adequate 3rd choice had he stayed, which was why I disagreed.

There's nothing sinister in this Bruv, it's a simple disagreement. I accept that your opinion differs to mine, why can't you do the same?

IMO Levy right now is doing the best he ever has for us. Mou, Nuno and Conte were terrible fuckups , but Levy has hit it out of the park with the Paratici and Ange appointments. If we can just keep this setup together for another 2-3 seasons, we should at least have won some minor silverware and be a consistent participant in CL again. The potential ceiling is much higher though- winning the league with style, maybe even CL too.
