Transfers January Transfer Thread 2024

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Who knows if any of this is true but the low balling and taking an eternity seems familiar .
What lowballing?

It seems the fee's agreed, it's just the payment structure that needs sorting. For all we know, all they have left to sort out is what add ons there are and how they're paid.
Conversely, they could be further away than that, but the point is we don't know.

Having said that, I'm willing to bet he's available for selection for the Utd game.

How's that for putting your cock in the block?

Where have you plucked that scenario from?

When we sign a centreback and left winger who can play as a striker in the first 10 days of the window, I’m sure Ed Vanderlay , Deuterz Deuterz and Richard Arlison Richard Arlison will be at the front of the queue to praise Levy (given everything is always his responsibility).

We even moved on quickly from Todibo when it became apparent we wouldn’t get him rather than dragging it on for three weeks.

Masterfully done

I’d rather bury myself alive before praising that prick for anything.

I think you‘re meant to put it on the block mate , otherwise you are actually banging said block

I guess I just expect people to think a bit more rationally than emotionally, especially as we see this every transfer window.

I've always felt that the definition of stupidity is not learning from your mistakes.

Might be an age thing though. I was a teen before the internet, and my kids were teens when the social media cesspool reared its head, so I grew up getting used to not knowing until it happened.

Social media seems to have created a generation of overly emotional, instant gratification, ego driven Muppets, where opinion trumps fact.
Where’s the fun in acting rationally?

Football is a pantomime. It’s visceral, absurd, unfair, vulgar and stupid.

Far more enjoyable to join the cheap seats and throw some rotten vegetables.

You win the prize for the least intelligent response out of the three of you.

I’ll come dig you out though - can’t let the right wingers take over the politics threads completely.

It wasn’t meant to be intelligent. Not everything is.

I hate the man and therefore you won’t hear me singing his praises. He makes my skin crawl. It’s really that simple.

Problem with Hojbjerg he makes lot of mistakes and given where he plays is too risky to have him on the team. Skipp is more risk free, but offers too little in general. If Hojbjerg could improve his concentration he would be a good player to have.

He passed straight to a Burnley forward outside our box, under no pressure. He gave away the ball that led to the Bournemouth goal a couple of weeks ago.

You just can't afford to do that the way that Ange plays, and I am sure that's why he can't get a start.

He's either colour blind or just plain daft.

No point trying to reason you out of a position you didn’t reason yourself into. At least you’re open about that!

FWIW I dont give Levy any credit for these signings.
