It also runs the risk of it being repeated. It only takes an injury or suspension to either Romero or VdV to fuck us again.

Davies and Royal have given their best; but Micky and Romero were conceding less than a goal a game. We need a suitable alternative.

Emerson and Davies are probably now considered able deputies. Romero + VDV available again soon. Dier still technically on the books.

We're letting Phillips go because he needs minutes and was never going to get minutes here....

If selling Sanchez didn't for a CB move, there's no way a Phillips move means anything

Agree.

I think we get a CB in for reasons you say. I was responding to a post saying Phillips loan did not impact the CB position, I was trying to show Phillips not being on bench leaves us very 'tight' and close to being short v ManU, especially if Van de Ven cannot complete full 90 mins.

Micky didn't even come on against Burnley, I very much doubt he's in match-starting condition, let along completely match fit.
