Prem 11 is getting interesting

Madders will always struggle because of KDB in the same position. Bentancur absolutely has a shout as the B2B 8, Rodri the 6.

Romero is Prem 11, Udogie is Prem 11, Son is Prem 11. Porro getting there but TAA would still get the most votes.

If we are saying that we have 4 in the Prem 11 that's still not bad going for now.
Being pragmatic, when it comes down to the actual vote Romero will likely miss out to Saliba and VVD due to his disciplinary issues, Bentancur won't have played enough games to get in over Rice at 8 (even if he's technically out of position there) and they will prob shoehorn Salah in at LW for Son to miss out with Haaland up top. I will grant you though I can't think of a single LB in the league who deserves the nod to get in over Udogie.

Maybe on a vote but Romero is miles clear of Saliba even when Saliba is on form, which he isn't atm.

If we are doing it on current form then maybe Rice but fully fit Bentancur is a better player and has won more.

Nah the front 3 would be Son Haaland Salah for every sane person in football.

Udogie probably needs to get past the Bayern LB Davies in terms of world 11, probably Hernandez as well but it won't take him long. Nobody is even close in the prem now.

Don't laugh but Ginola gave him a lecture on a healthy lifestyle...then had a heart attack!
Le Gin has always lived a healthy lifestyle...he's just been shagging too many women left, right & centre.

I rate Romero as the better defender than Saliba but I wouldn't say there's a lot in it tbh, Saliba is probably the most important player in that Woolwich side, their entire title challenge fell to pieces when he went out injured at the end of last season. I think Romero is better than the 2024 version of VVD as well, but I'm sure VVD will get in for his "swan song", he's probably going to move on in the next couple of seasons as he's 33 in the summer and the amount of football he has played for Liverpool is showing it has taken its toll.
I love Bentancur, but he isn't in the public zeitgeist yet by any means. He's been injured for the better part of a year, everyone but us has pretty much forgotten about him, meanwhile the media are lining up to polish Rice's dick at every opportunity they get, and the best XI's are far more about form than ability. I think Bentancur will hopefully build form and fitness the rest of this campaign and have his real breakout season next year.
You're right on Son tbh the media hates to give him credit but there's not really been an outstanding wide player who has earned the nod over him this season.
Udogie is absolutely fucking phenomenal, you get the sense he could play any role he wanted in that LB slot and do it to an elite level. Once he cut the silly errors out of his game that comes with experience there won't even be a conversation about who the best LB in the world is, and we've only gone and got him signed til 2030.

Oh right if we are predicting the actuall Prem 11 at the end of the season, then yeah you are mostly right mate. They will do everything they can to pick Saliba and Rice in there. Doesn't mean that either are better players than Romero or Bentancur imo.

FWIW Richard Arlison Richard Arlison from last weeks talk about Ange choosing Werner.
Ornstein reporting Ange has veto power from Daniel Levy. Says to me he's here with Ange's blessing.

You can tell from Ange quotes that he's excited to have him here. Said

"If he was scoring goals and playing regularly we wouldn't be able to afford him"

Suggests Ange thinks he can get marquee player levels out of him...

Would love to sign him but get the sense he will be overvalued by Palace, unless there's a new release clause in the contract he signed last summer. Think he is a better player in this moment than BJ and has a higher ceiling too.

Awesome player and has Assou-Ekotto vibes so Spurs fans would take to him straight away.

Not sure if he's the fit for squad balance just because he's left footed and plays as an inverted RW. We have Brennan who is better as a trad RW and Deki that is somewhere between inverted RW and 10. Olise is basically Deki in the dynamics of our squad.

Tbh I know we need an elite level forward but really not sure what type or which side they need to be.
