Championship and regular football is a good start. He should have done it a couple seasons ago really.
He isn't a significant upgrade on Richarlison, certainly not an upgrade worth 50m+.

Richarlison does not look to me like he is just on a "streak" at the moment.

They're using mind games. They're setting the fee high to see if there's any mugs willing to pay it. They're not really expecting £50M, they're just making other teams think of big numbers. Negotiate them down to say £30M, and the buyer is thinking more of £20M saved than £30M spent.
Meanwhile, Chelsea trouser probably 3x his actual worth.
I used to do this all the time when pricing variations. Draw up 3 prices, one at cost, one at the price I was aiming for, and one at the maximum I could realistically claim. I'd present the highest one so they're thinking of the big number, then I'd come back a little later with the "value engineered" option. 9 times out of 10 they'd accept it, because all they saw was the saving.
I can honestly say I've never made less than 30% margin doing that. In some cases I've got over 100%.
That's all they're doing, which would have worked before PSR. Now, with Europe skint and the EPL tightening its belt, even the mugs are having to back away from those prices.
Cap that off with everyone knowing that they're teetering on the brink, then Chelsea will struggle to offload at a price anywhere near that.
We have Son, he's the upgrade if need be.
