Tottenham are among a number of European giants who want to take Marcus Rashford on loan from Manchester United.

Spurs are looking to bolster their attacking options and rescue their season despite being the second-top scorers in the Premier League.

However, they could face competition from Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan, with his representatives having jetted off for talks with the latter. Juventus and Galatasaray also hold an interest

4-3-3 or 4-3-2-1 with a high press and demands on the full backs to invert?

Fucking shitloads of them.

Ange is different in that he's psychologically more attack-minded in philosophy but tactically he's not really that different to a lot of coaches. He commits more players forward but the demands on every player to have ball-playing skills and the engine to press for 90+ minutes isn't unique to him.
Yeah, the only main difference between Ange and a lot of front foot, high press coaches is the leaving another defender behind the ball when in possession, so a block of three instead of Ange’s two CBs. Like Poch used to push a DM into the split CBs when Rose and Walker went high. I’m really surprised he hasn’t tried this tweak, particularly in this poor form.

More sh!t talk.

Lineker was £1.5m ( and Nayim on loan ) United wanted him. El Tel got him.

He spent three full seasons at Spurs.

67 Goals in 105 games. He left for £2m after scoring 28 goals in 35 games in a terrible season ( just like this one in many ways )

He scored 20 odd of his international goals while a Spurs player.

Slightly churlish to argue the point, but if that’s on the way down then it’s a soft landing.
You've won.

How that debate even started is madness.

I replied to your claim that Lineker, Ginola and Klinsmann were “well past their prime” simply stating my opinion that they were far from past their prime…but now you switched the topic to "succession planning". I simply replied to your opening statement where you did not mention "succession planning" - something everyone who's follow Spurs know Spurs have lacked for a very long time; mainly due to lack of competent managers/head-coaches to plan around.
Who say Kane is too old? Bayern bought him for a record fee (and contract until 2027) and was the top scorer in the Bundesliga last year.
Ginola, Klinsmann, Lineker clearly were not stop-gap signings: they were all top class when they signed for Spurs and kept being top class while playing for Spurs. Those players you called "stop gap players" were actually player whom Spurs should have built their teams around ... but failed to do so; which was the main reason for Klinsmann leaving for Bayern.
Make lovey to me in the bummy, Pathy

Even if United paid half his salary he'd be one of our highest paid players. It's a non starter.

This is surely just a planted story to get Milan to hurry up.

Wow.. Johnson really doesn't like the ball does he.
He likes to run around a bit, a Redknapp type of player!

I agree, it's a weird one that he hasn't made it default. I have definitely seen it at times during games and nobody has commented on it.

I can also see the mentality that we have a very makeshift defense so scoring more is more likely to help us win than inviting pressure onto them. I'd say the Wolves game is a pretty clear example of why that might be sensible but then again there have been other games when it might have been great.

It's also strange because most Ange observers before Spurs said that he was/is a coach that likes to predominantly leave 1 FB back when the other bombs forward.

I’d move both. Bentancur just isn’t available enough and hasn’t played well for too long.

Biss has had the better games of the 2 over the last 2 seasons but he’s not reliable either.

We need tough cookies in our MF. Players that will force Sarr, Berg and Gray to reach much higher levels to displace them. I’d be happy playing all of them over Biss and Bentancur now.

I agree. Trouble is, the club won’t replace them with seasoned internationals who can make an impact straight away. It will be a couple of 19 year olds from the arse end of Europe.
