We joked about this on here the other week, the alarm bell I have with him is that the only club apart from us who wanted him in the PL was Man U. Their scouting is terrible. I think a lot has to be said for that and ultimately I think missing out on him won’t be the end of the world.

End of the day, if Richy stays fit, which he won't we need a RW more than we need a back up CF. If he's not fit, we need a RWF who can also play CF. It's surely better to be thinking about signing the best RW you can find and seeing what Lankshear does on loan instead of signing someone bang average just because they might be versatile enough to play RWF and RW?
RKM is a fairly rare profile in that regard because he'd have made us better in both positions.
If we really do have no faith in Lankshear, the least we could do is send him out on loan so he doesn't have to rot on the bench until the end of the season.
The excitement of being round the 1st team as a 19yo academy kid must wear off pretty quickly when it becomes apparent you are making up numbers.
I felt legit bad for the kid seeing him not get the start or even minutes for the Tamworth game. If your manager doesn't have faith in you to score against Tamworth, what realistic chance do you have of seeing significant minutes against any of the other opposition, which are all better? Letting Werner and Moore split minutes at LW would have been absolutely fine.

Agree - remember a couple of years ago people on here were saying Levy break the bank for him to get a long term Kane replacement.

Anyone else got the feeling we are done in the market and all the rumours are stirred by Levy as usual to keep the fans off his back for another couple of weeks. That or we will get a loan move for a random player that brings no value to the squad. I know January is a hard window but its the same old story with that bald twat.
If they are looking at it like that still at 19 they probably won’t make it as a pro.
We tend to see these things through amateur eyes and think how we’d feel not getting a chance. If they do that then they are done. They need to learn what it means to be a pro and do their job to get paid. And they need to learn it asap.
Lankshear seems switched on so he’s probably thinking he will be the best player he can be in training, bring positive energy every day and if he has to go and prove it on loan, he wants to make sure the manager and senior pros have a good impression of him as a person in case he does well on loan and gets another chance next season.
I do feel that and I also don’t really feel there was that much intent to really go and get RKM or another elite level forward.
Levy will be thinking that he has a valuable asset to protect with Richy and he’s already paying large wages on Werner.
The Liverpool result was perfect for Levy because it cooled the pressure on him to add to the wage bill. He needs to keep that down if he’s seeking investment
They'll probably do something opportunistic (see Gedson Fernandes, Danjuma, Werner) . I'd rather them plan for next season rather than doing something for the sake of it. Go and do deals for players in positions we need like Dorgu and Dibling even if it means loaning them back.
I’d imagine this is the tension right now. Lange and Levy would probably prefer another starboy brought in, whereas Ange is desperate for someone with experience to make an impact now.

We have a real chance to win a cup this season, improve out front 3 and get lucky with Injuries and no reason why we couldn't win the EL, also 90 minutes away from a League cup final, I think we get 1 more in , we have to!
