Transfers January Transfer Thread 24/25

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I think VFTL pod nailed it. We are waiting until after the final UCL/UEL league games this week, see which clubs become selling clubs, and then we’ll bring in some underwhelming forward like Jonathan David.

What Iraola is doing with Bournemouth is better than anything Ange has done in his career. It would be madness to pass up the opportunity to bring him in. He could be our next Poch, but he could actually win things with the way he mugs off all the other elite managers in this league.

Only Spurs would decide to double down on a useless bluffer in Ange instead of brining in a young top up and coming manager who is proving he can do it in the PL with a small club.
If we haven't approached him through intermediaries already we a fucking clown car. He has to be the 100% top target. Why are we backing a 60 year old journey man who highest achievements are in a league rated 14 places below the championship. A man who has discovered Gengen press, five years after its out of date.

Iraola is 40 something and miles ahead, he is the one deserves time and the millions pissed up the wall on this cretin. Offer him a fixed transfer budget for the first four windows and give him a break clause if he'll come. It's crazy to see how the data dream team haven't seen how badly coached we are.

What’s a Gengen press? Sounds like something Ja Ja Binks would do.

I mean, fine but if Ange doesn’t survive, which coach are they finding to play all these young players?

Squad badly needs players ready to go now

This one deal is worth doing though whoever the manager is. It is obvious he is going to be a quality player any manager can use.

I've been moaning for the last 2 years we need more experience in the team but if we can get this kid then we should definitely try and do the deal.

Another dog shit day with hardly any links or talks with anyone. I don't want to know about summer deals we are in shit in the league big time and good in the cups. Sort the fucking squad out now u paraffin.

Yes, he does take the turn well and can spot a pass directly afterwards. It's good stuff but not a quality you pay 50 m for.

We don't know how good he's around the penalty box. Absolutely nothing in his stats suggests that he's anything special. From the video I watched I saw little proof of it too. Just because you do one thing doesn't necessarily mean you do the rest at an equally good level, as I know that you know.

One thing I didn't like about him from the highlight video is how easily he went down. If you're 18 and want to prove yourself, you fight for every ball. Taking the easy way out is cheap and not an attitude we should want at our club.

And he also looks slow as fuck. Even slower than Kulu. Could it be that we're looking for a Kulu replacement?

No way is this going to be as good as Kulu. If we want a slow left footed plodder, we should stick with Kulu. But poor mans Kulu will never make the cut.
haven’t really looked at any stats but don’t know what you’d expect to see from them, he’s 18 playing for Southampton who have obviously struggled. Just have to look how he handles the ball under pressure, the awareness and ability to let it run across his body. they’re really important attributes you need to play in midfield areas, not many players can actually do it. Look at the goal he scored against Ipswich. That is really class play.

He’s not quick but he’s quick with the ball and has great balance and close control to beat people off either foot. That’s where he’s different from Kulusevski who is easy to read when he plays wide.

Could quite easily see him playing in midfield as well as he’s definitely got the attributes. Hope we sign him

Pure arrogance, that's all it can be. They deserve to face relegation tbh (the fans don't, obviously!).

Absolute pricks.
It’s cognitive dissonance. Unable to face a shift in perceived realities.

It’s clear Ange and the Board are reinforcing the view amongst each other, that “once Romero and Micky are back, we’ll motor up the league”. Yet, it ignores how entrenched our form is right now, the present reality, what if Micky breaks again quickly, what is Romero does or his brain farts continue (especially without the balance Micky’s pace gives).

What if Solanke doesn’t recover as he was, or breaks down again, with our hard set workload demands. What if our form is not readily shed, even with players back etc.

Baffling, but a common occurrence in life.
