I don't like to make Scapegoats out of Players but the decision to stick with Timo I feel is going to come back and bite us on the ass big time!
He is just not good enough for this level!

We're at one of the strongest 'starting points' for years...

Werner/Son/Richarlison/Solanke/Johnson/Odobert/Yang/Lankshear/Moore

Kulusevski/Maddison/Donley

Bissouma/Gray/Bentancur/Bergvall/Sarr/Devine

Udogie/Spence/van de Ven/Davies/Dragusin/Romero/Porro/Vuskovic

Vicario/Forster/Whiteman/Austin
End of contracts for both Davies and Forster could see them being replaced in 2025. After those two, it really does appear to be 'upgrades' as opposed to 'deadwood'

Of course fans view various players listed above in differing lights, which is fair enough. It does look like a promising platform to build from though if you ask me

Our GKs and #10s are obvious weaknesses.

It’s kind of weird to look at that, it’s a very un-Spurs team

Lots of 7/10 players with maybe 1-2 8/10 or 9/10 like Son and Romero.

Most Spurs teams from Jol to Redknapp and Poch had one or two 10/10 players, a few 9/10 players, some 7/10 players then beyond the first 11 lots of 5/10 players.

I guess what I am saying is we have more depth in most areas but lack stardust. The opposite of our norm.

Forster, Whiteman, Davies, Werner and Son all out of contract next summer.

Bissouma and Bentancur one year left.

Rather keep Bissouma and Bentancur if we can. Even if Bergvall and Gray grow into their talent I like having a bit of depth. We still have to upgrade the attack and add defensive depth, no point making the midfield a problem area again.

Bringing in Cardoso next summer paves the way for one of them to go. Hopefully he is the 6 people imagine.

6: Cardoso, Biss
8: Gray, Bergvall, Sarr, Devine
10: Kulu, Maddison

Still don't think Kulu quite fits into this squad. Not a RW and not really a 10.
Good player but we need to make room for gamechangers in this squad.

The club will need to be ruthless if we want to move forward. That means moving on the likes of Bentancur/Biss, Kulu, Johnson, Richy and maybe even Maddison if he has another flaky season.

The club probably needs to, bring in a couple who are either at or fast approaching their peak.
But the club won't do this, especially if they are trying to get the wage bill u der 30%.

Eze is the obvious one for me.

The base level of the squad is the best it's been in a while.

In the next 2 windows I'd go for the following:

LCB/LB: Should have been done this summer. Replacement for Davies and proper competition for Udog
GK: Decent experienced cover for Vic.
RW: similar profile to Odobert but ideally left-footed and more experienced
CAM: Eze. JUST FUCKING SIGN EZE HE'S RIGHT THERE.
DM: Cardoso option taken

Then you sort exits for Bentancur, Kulu, Johnson, Richy. We'll get 100m for that lot.

GK: Vic, NEW
RB: Porro, Gray
CB: Romero, VDV, Dragusin, Vuskovic
LB: Udogie, NEW
6: Biss, Cardoso
8: Bergvall, Sarr, Devine
10: Eze, Maddison
RW: NEW, Odobert
CF: Solanke, Lankshear
LW: Son, Moore

Two of Moore, Lankshear, Yang and Veliz to go out on loan depending on development.

There will be much less work to do on shifting out dross so hopefully we can move swiftly on the required incomings.

Agree, we really need Moore, Bergvall and/or Gray to continue their trajectories to fully fulfill the elite promise, as we clearly baulk at the present cost of buying ready made stardust.

For me, it’s palatable as it’s youth, we need the system to start being Gestalt, we have too many form players, not in form!

You would like to think so.

Fabrizio Romano says Tottenham and Chelsea want to sign £35m 'super talent'

Now, Fabrizio Romano states that both Chelsea and Tottenham want to sign Patrick Dorgu.

“He was first of all in the list of Tottenham. One of the players Tottenham considered for the full-back position was Patrick Dorgu. Really appreciated by the club but not a deal to make this summer.

“Why? Because Patrick Dorgu was also in the list of Blue Co, so Chelsea, Strasboug. The idea was to sign the player for Strasbourg and then potentially move to Chelsea.

“But for both Tottenham and Blue Co, Chelsea, Strasbourg group the deal was considered too expensive because Lecce asked more for than £30m-£35m more than this to get the deal done.

“Lecce believe that Dorgu is a super talent, so Chelsea, Tottenham, several clubs follow him and monitoring him but is still considered too expensive.

“They want to make an investment on him still not spending crazy money because the player still has to develop but Lecce always say more than £30m-£35m for the player this summer and he stayed at the club.

“But keep an eye on this player for the future because I’m sure Tottenham and Chelsea will keep monitoring him.”

I think we just follow the Chelsea model:
1. Get a list of names from the Internet
2. Put them into a spinning wheel to reduce from 100 to 50
3. Sign players on contracts that last until national retirement age
4. Extend the training ground to use the car park for excess players who can play "Wembley"
5. Loan players out and pay 50% of wages
6. Repeat at next window
