I would be very interested in loan with OPTION to buy, but not with OBLIGATION to buy.
Unless the obligation is on low valuation (so 20-25 mil?) as in that case we could offload him to Saudis, MLS or to some desperate side coming up from Championship.

And as we are tight regarding HG players then it would be simple - find new home to Timo / pay part of his contract up and bring in RKM, it would be an upgrade with further potential upside. If he does well, we can keep him. If not, we can send him back.
Reckon it will be an obligation with very hard to meet terms. Ie wins cup treble and scores more than 15 goals in all competitions.

He obviously won’t meet them and if we like him Levy will negotiate the price down again because they’ll have signed a new player by then and RKM will love life in London

With Kvaradona set to join PSG, they certainly will have to sell to make place in the squad and for FFP reasons...
But I much rather see Spurs go for Lee Kang-in

hasnt really blown up the way it looked like he might when he was back in spain, not sure he'd be worth the money.
anyway it's Woolwich who've been sniffing around him, dreaming that he'll be their Son.
Truth is Son is a generational Korean talent who was scoring lots of league and CL goals when he was much younger than Kang when at Levekusen

Ange Postecoglou on whether Spurs will sign a new left-back

Postecoglou has now remarked that despite Udogie‘s injury, Tottenham will not be opportunistic in signing a left-back who happens to be in the shop window.

The Spurs boss made it clear that any signing would have to be from the list of targets the club had already identified as he only wants players who would be a good fit for his system.

When asked if Tottenham are looking to bring a left-back through the door, Postecoglou told Football.London: “It depends. We’re in a tricky situation where we’ve got – obviously Ben Davies can play left-back as well – so you know we’re in this tricky situation where potentially we could have three very, very good defenders coming back into the fold very, very quickly.

“Obviously, Destiny’s going to be a bit longer, so it’s a bit of a balancing act of how much we can get through. I just don’t want to get it [wrong]. You know, the beauty of bringing in somebody like Toni (Antonin Kisnky) was that he was part of our plans anyway.

“I’m really reluctant just to bring in another body just for the sake of it. It’s got to be somebody who either fits into what we’re doing or he’s going to help us straight away. They’re the kind of criteria we’re looking at.”

but the "way Spurs play now" has been the problem, not Dragusin! That is overstating it a bit I know, as he does lack comfort on the ball. He could no doubt improve a bit with work (including learning from playing this season). I think he is getting better, even if there are backward steps as at Newcastle game. I hope we keep him.
It's easy to forget, as he's a bit of a unit, that he's only 21 and is still learning his trade.

He's getting extremely valuable experience now, I'm sure he'll only get better.

To summarise he is wary of a dud loan:
"Look mate, I don't want to be stuck here with two Timo Werner's. Mate."
