Transfers January Transfer Thread 24/25

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I'm starting to agree with this logic. There is no chill in any of our games. Even the Tamworth game took alot out of our players. Everyone running around like headless chickens... Lose the ball so everyone sprints, win the ball back so everyone sprints. Sprinting left then sprinting right! Full backs showing up all over the pitch and everyone else running around trying to cover all the open space!

Woolwich play like robots and barely move. Their defenders only come forward for set pieces! They are boring to watch and I hope they never win anything but their football is so sustainable compared to ours. Ironically enough the only injury Saliba picked up this season was when he went on that VDV/Romero like burst late in the game against us and tweaked his hamstring. He hasn't made a run like that all season and prob won't do it again! While our defenders are expected to make that run at least 5 times a game!! It just doesn't work at this level and its almost inevitable that VDV's hamstring will go again before the end of the season!
Wish our defenders stayed back a little bit more than they do.

United has a chairman that will buy good players.

This season they have signed Ugarte, Mazroui, De Ligt, Yoro, Zirkzee and Dorgu. And are looking at Tel and Nkunku.

Compare that to our dealings this year, its night and day. 1 more summer window and united will have Osimhen/Gyokeres and 2 or 3 more. They are only missing some goals and a cm.
What good players? Yoro might mature into a good defender. Dorgu is unknown. The rest are meh

I'm sorry, but this whole outrage over not making signings to cover the injuries is ridiculous now.

Actually thinking about it, how do you suggest we handle the situation? Sign a bunch of fit players and have them replace the injured players in the 25 man squad? Clearly no, as when they are back from injury you want them registered and able to play.

So instead I guess we have them replace the players that are actually fit? And then still have just 10 players fit and available? This one doesn't really make that much sense does it? Even if the signings are higher quality than those they were replacing, you'd still be short on numbers.

There is no signing our way out of this injury mess.
Our current Premier League squad contains Sergio Reguilon, Alfie Whiteman, Brandon Austin, Fraser Forster, and Max Robson (who?) as over-age players, and only 14 of the 17 foreign slots have been used, one of them by Reguilon.

It's trickier in the Europa League admittedly, but there is TONS of squad room for new players in the league/domestic cups.

Not really.

UTD still need to move Rashford and Garnacho before they can add anyone. That's not gonna be easy and the window is counting down.

We have the flexibility to get it done whenever it can be done.

Will we get it done? That's all about Mr Levy.
See last transfer window for evidence that we don't play in the top tier of transfers.

Tel fits into that. He's a striker every top club will be considering.

Everyone in football has watched the club go through a massive injury crisis, without any action to remedy the situation. What about that is going to be attractive to prospective players and managers? It is plain to see this “project” is a farce.
