Transfers January Transfer Thread 24/25

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

That's not it at all.

I knew Levy would do a "we tried" transfer in the final few days of this window and I knew Tel would tell us to do one.

Just look at Daniel Levy's receipts and the nature of the man.

It doesn't take a prophet to figure this shit out, just somebody with an ounce of critical thinking.
Dybala all over again except we've been rejected by an unwanted in his own club 19-year old now. After practically bullying the poor kid to sign.

I get that and could even end up being worse than ndombele. But his ceiling as a lazy, skilled baller could be Hazard-esque for a modern day comparison. The thing is, for only 20m, in this day and age, I think its well worth the punt. Not a club record signing like ndombele.

I think so with the right players around him. A proper mid field set up could do it if he's starting, and if chucked on to chase a game, he'll only have to press for 20-25 minutes along with generally having more possession. I think spence's athleticism and speed could also negate his lack.
He doesn't have hazards pace that's the issue

I don't think so. Sounds like charity work! Because we so obviously have a ceiling under Levy. And that ceiling is below winning the league. And arguably below winning a cup also!

Who, with alternatives that have a higher ceiling, would go for it??

Obviously we don't know the detail, but I'd be surprised if we weren't offering him as much game time as any other big club can offer

He's 19 and has, so far, done absolutely nothing to prove himself at any level. Like I said - coming to Spurs where he'd be guaranteed loads of minutes to prove himself at a Prem Club with huge profile and succeeding would put him in a shop window where he'd name his next club and wages etc...

He may get that at United or Scum so that's probably what he's aiming for I guess.

I don't like the way Levy runs the club on the pitch, but i don't see anywhere that Radcliffe or Bovey have flown out?

Whatever we think of Levy at least he trying to land this transfer, i wonder if Harry has spoken to the player off the record, i would find it hard that Tel hasn't spoken to him?

Secondly Levy may be taking a connecting flight to Milan afterwards reference Tomoli?

Didn't Levy do this with Kinsky? Certainly with Modric and VDV some seasons ago?
It's everything else Levy has done over 24 years that means the transfer doesn't land though!!

Actually that's unfair. Stadium and training ground are good.

But I doubt they compensate for a club whose name has become a byword for not winning anything ...

May as well chuck money at Dibling and Tomori at this rate.
I swear man people will never get it.

Kinsky , Udogie, Phillips, Vuskovic, Dorrington, Gray, Bergvall, Moore, Donley, Devine, Odobert, Ajayi, Scarlett, Veliz, Lankshear

Thats not even including VDV, Spence and Sarr who are also young. What do you think will happen if Levy "chucks money" on highly rated prospect number 7656566?

1) It reduces the the money we have for actual proven players.

2) The current talented younger players get even less of a chance.

Sorry, but while I don't think he's right for us based on his age and relatively limited achievements, he has done more than absolutely nothing. Guy is a star all the way through French national age group teams and got a big transfer to BM at 17, and has done ok (but nothing more, granted), in the Budesliga.

I'm not sure he'd think ... I'll settle for Spurs because it will be a stepping stone? Careers are too short.
