Transfers January Transfer Thread 24/25

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Recall Solomon from leeds his price from now until the end of the season won't really change if we choose to sell him and better than Werner who is unavailable anyway.

Preferably we bring on a forward who is better than Solomon and will improve us both this season and next few seasons more than Solomon would - Solomon seems to me to be a Championship/lower quartile PL player who at age 26 is not going to improve whereas we seem to be aiming at players with far higher potential

He’ll obviously turn up at the gooners in time to turn over the Newcastle semi.

Meanwhile at thfc, Ange won’t get any new attacking arrivals and be told to fucking deal with what he has.

Personally I think right now he’s like a young Rashford style player but nowhere near as impactful as Rashford in form right now.

I don’t see him being someone a who can be the difference away to Newcastle at St James Park.

I did want him to come though

As custodian of the club, surely, your core product out on that pitch should be the primary concern.

Actually, not that I like defending Levy, but the primary concern of the custodian of any club is the financial health to ensure the future of it for future generations. Owners like Risdale ruined Leeds for decades. Ditto the bloke who ran Everton into the ground over the last decade or so. That said, if he cannot make the club competitive on the pitch now the financial stability is in place then he should let someone else have a go for the good of the club.

NFL have total control as no other countries play that game. PL put in a wage cap ( like we arbitrarily closed our transfer window) others will just take advantage.

On the other side in the NFL the owners are taking the greater share of money compared to football where it goes to the players.

No wage cap without caps on tickets and TV costs.

I would rather mainly working class lads who are actually doing the work becoming sickeningly rich than billionaire owners getting richer.
That's a great post 👏

Spot on.

Great news that someone has come in but, why do we drag these situations out so long that it actually affects the team.
Right to question. This is a CB who played for Lens, a team 6th in Ligue 1. Reasonable question. Why was he not here on 1 January ?

Might be something to do with panic, Wolves doing the donkey work and the loan option.

He’s been playing on the wing. He’s not a fullback.
I know. And Man U have not signed him to play LW. They have played him to be Luke Shaw's successor at LB. We do not want a left back t play as a traditional LB. We want someone who will play as an inverted midfielder / left sided attacker in the middle and final thirds, but knows how to play LB when we need to defend.

United don’t play with a left back.

I think we need to be patient, understand the project started a while ago but have faith it's all coming together now, it's matter finding pieces of a jigsaw. we should have a squad to win cups and titles soon. Today's signing of the renowned defender Danso is one evidence of the journey ahead, the board are assembling a formidable team for this season and the future, ready for the battle in the championship.

I think this

Tel seems to msybe think too much of himself. He will get swamped at united ir Woolwich, if he is expected to be their savour.

I will either be proven right or he will become an idol.

I doubt Bayern would let go a superstar in the making but De Bruyne and Salah left Chelsea and did okay. Exceptions rather than rules.
