Perfect signing and just what we need.

Paulinha can hold his own against the best midfield enforcers in the prem. Rodri, Bruno, Rice, McCalister....Paulinha is as good, and (please don't jinx it)....he rarely gets injured

I like it. Proven in the Prem, mature and experienced midfielder who was a consistent performer while at Fulham, a bit of a hatchet man that can actually play a bit. For sure not the plodder some may well think.

Not sure what happened at Bayern as I don't follow them, but he's Spurs now so who cares

Not a big fan of him but he’ll get my support. I don’t think he improves us much if any at all but it’s competition for places and gives us the opportunity to rotate when we need to.
I was hoping for someone who can build the game from that position and make the game flow but Paulinha isn’t that type.
Everyone has their opinions and usually if a player doesn’t do well in a so called farmers league(as the Bundesliga has been called on here by some)they are not good enough for us. Hopefully he can hit the heights of his Fulham days if this deal goes through.

Not in the instance of them already having a decent EPL track record they aren't.

Very happy with this signing, every team needs a player like this, someone who will do the dirty work Fabinho,Fernandinho, makelele.Never did agree with ange when I think he said that position was some sort of myth and our other midfielders would be fine in that position,it’s a specialist position.

West Ham or Brentford level signing.

May as well be honest with ourselves and call it what it is.🤷‍♂️... Hugely uninspiring.

Nobody would have been surprised or batted an eyelid if he'd signed for either of them.

Exploiting an opportunity lingering in the left overs from the Kane / Bayern deal rather than aggressively signing the kind of quality we could and should be chasing.

Let's just hope he exceeds expectations.

But now he is older and never stays on his feet in a challenge. He will be slightly late and two-foot somebody in his first game mark my words.

I'm not going to rule out getting a red this season. He'll be putting in more challenges than anyone else per minute I'd imagine, but with age also comes experience. In any case, he's not been red card prone for all his career so describing him as a walking red card seems a bit premature.

About not staying on his feet. There are two types of ground challenge - the type where you steam in on a player and slide two footed in a desperate attempt to take the ball, and the type where you go to ground to shield the ball. From the highlights I've seen, he's more in the latter category.

💯 Considering he’s not even kicked a ball for us yet,or a player for that matter lol
