Exactly, option not obligation.Every team would do every transfer as a loan with an option to buy if they could.....you get all of the upside and none of the risk
A bargain.

I disagree.I think it would be more accurate to say he would make the bench of all the big clubs, but no more than that.
Not a big fan of him but he’ll get my support. I don’t think he improves us much if any at all but it’s competition for places and gives us the opportunity to rotate when we need to.
I was hoping for someone who can build the game from that position and make the game flow but Paulinha isn’t that type.
Everyone has their opinions and usually if a player doesn’t do well in a so called farmers league(as the Bundesliga has been called on here by some)they are not good enough for us. Hopefully he can hit the heights of his Fulham days if this deal goes through.
Who is benched for this guy, who offers next to nothing going forward and (if he has lost even half a yard of pace the wrong side of 30) is a walking red card?
But now he is older and never stays on his feet in a challenge. He will be slightly late and two-foot somebody in his first game mark my words.

I'm not going to rule out getting a red this season. He'll be putting in more challenges than anyone else per minute I'd imagine, but with age also comes experience. In any case, he's not been red card prone for all his career so describing him as a walking red card seems a bit premature.
