Only issue I have with him is he is very poor on the ball. Its amplified when we play a 2nd midfielder who isnt a great ball carrier.
1 shield with 2 creative players who will also put in a shift is what we need.
Id sign him as you need fighters and experience. Especially where we are in the league. Also he is easily the best we have for that duty.

he needs two box to boxers either side who can progress the ball, make his game very simple just to win the ball and give it simple.
He understood what the game needed today. Immense second half and even first half he was one of our better players.

He's exceptionally good. People sniffed at him being the best tackler in the league like it was some minor feat...but he offers so much more (as evidenced by his goalscoring stats).
He knows how to find space in dangerous areas, he's actually a decent passer as well (contrary to what people claim) and his ball carrying is good.
Also look how clever he is at picking his positions when we are defending. He knows where the ball is going unlike most the other midfielders we have.

Such a funny fanbase. People call him out for not being progressive but he’s shown today that he’s our best 6 by a mile.
He can be our 5th CB too- nice bit of versatility.

Not saying I don't like his fight but he was obviously "in the wrong".
I thibk his technical level is flawed but my God his mentality and his passion is needed in this squad.
I know there's a massive discourse about him whether we should sign him or not but we need to sign him on a perm, that doesnt mean he needs to be a certified starter every match nor does it mean we need to build a team around him.
A player like this is needed in our current state.
