Management Johan Lange - Technical Director

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Made some brilliant signings inc Vdv, Solanke, Madders and to lesser degree Vicario but Dragusin and Johnson, whilst being decent players are not suited to the system at all and we're
Summer '23 window was without Lange - it was Gabanini in interim role . Dragusin, Werner and Bergvall are his first signings
Gabanini with the Don paratici in background?

If so should go back to that. They made many good signings, just about 100% hit rate other than Johnson. Johnson is good in many aspects but just doesn't fit our system and could see that from day 1.

even those "Ange in" seem to agree the tactis need to change a bit
So
hasn't this guy pulled the manager aside and told him playing this way is not working and you need to change a bit ?
if he has then the manager needs to go NOW, and if he hasn't then Lange needs to go NOW

Someone behind the scenes have to have told him/suggested that he needs to change things.

But Ange is that combination of stubborn and proud were adapting means defeat. He refuses to change for as long as he can.

It's pretty obvious that there's some truth to the "you have until the CC semi final first leg to save your job" rumours from two days ago given that he actually tried something different against Wolves.

As for Lange, I'm not sure if he even is in a position in the heirarchy to order Ange around. His job is player recruitment and scouting. Ordering Ange about is probably more Munn and Levy's job.

Lange is just Ange without the L... both stealing a living whilst my club burns... and take Munn with you... the three of them plus Levy have turned us into a fucking circus... can't wait to see the back of them but fear they will see me off first!!!

They couldn't order a fucking take away between them... clueless, snivelling cunts... the lot of them!!!

TBH, I have no problem with a manager being prepared to die on their preferred hill... I'd rather that than some flimsy character with no conviction.

You can debate the merits of the first two, and the last 3 yet to prove themselves, but it's certainly promising. Plus some club-trained finally coming through.

Yang Odobert and Vuskovic have barely kicked a ball if at all. Wener is a shit show. Dragusin is slow. So really the only decent signings were Solanke, Gray and Bergvall who between the 3 of em cost more than 100m. Not that impressed tbh

I'd say after the Liverpool game that Kinsky looks a real star in the making, and Dragusin looked a pretty decent option with several good ,moments and he's faster than some give him credit for : we may choose to get someone in more suited to Angeball but not sure its high on the 'must do' list, and he may well be here next summer.

So at the moment that list looks pretty good with Gray and Bergvall looking top players despite being only 18, and every chance both will continue to improve - just as they have improved throughout this season with Gray showing huge versatility as well.

Solankle works very very hard, demon presser each game and, with Johnson, leads our scoring/goal involvement charts - and Spurs are 2nd highest scorers in PL.

so lets revisit that list :

Successes/may become excellent : Sollanke, Gray, Bergvall, Kinsky (4)
Decent : Dragusin
Not played enough to asses : Odobert, Yang (but fantastic stats from K League)
Disappointing : Werner

So 4 or 50% are already judged to be successes and may become excellent (particularly the 18 year olds and 21 year old) , with 2 others who have not played enough to be able to asses - they could join the success/excellent list to make it 75% success, or not : lets see at end of the season.

and only one disappointing player (Werner)

I'll take those stats any day !

Nobody but nobody gets 100% success rates in buying players and in the world of buying businesses 50% of all businesses/companies living up to or exceeding pre-bid expectations is regarded as very good stats - most businesses bought do not live up to pre-bid expectations.

Weve had a good win and people are getting a bit ahead of them selves. What you are saying, is as far as 18 year olds go, we have a promising bunch.

Those of us who want to win trophies want to see a different profile of players, with more solanke types brought in. So for me its failure. Its not enough for a club of our standing to be buying players so young and writing off 2 or 3 seasons for them to develop, if they develop at all.
