His mate?

..................What's their prior relationship?
Ange and Munn both worked within the City group previously. Ange managed Yokohama, who are partially owned by them. Whilst Munn worked with the City group in Australia and later China.

But they've also likely crossed path a bunch just within Australian football, given that that's surely a insulated community.

and Woolwich.....

Havertz on 280k
Jesus on 265k

Neither even close to being World Class
What about Raya, Gabrielle, Saliba, Odegard, Saka, Rice?
I heard Bent on Talkshite the other day trying to say that we have spent more money than them.
He's too dim and/or bias to use net figures and account for the enormous wage difference in that equation.
They pay almost £70m a year in wages more than we do. They're in a title race and we're in danger of a relegation fight.

It is simple. You get better players with better wages.
Our wage bill has gone down in conjunction with our league position.

Gabriel, Saliba, and Odegaard cost NOTHING - they were not bought in on the wages you're seeing now and it took the board 3+ years to move them up to that level

Like actually try to follow the convo.

When Arteta came in Saliba - 40k Gabriel - 50k Martinelli - 30k - Saka 10k Odegaard - 70k

They pay that much more THIS YEAR than us because they are 5 YEARS into a project and we are 2.

When they were 2 years into their project, their wages were 20 more than ours, despite primarily because they signed Jesus on 260k a week who has been injured for 75% of his time and has contributed nothing.

Is that what you want - us to spend 260k a week on a player that is not world-class and never will be? We spend 90k on Richarlison and get more value out of they do with Jesus -

But they're all now on big money.
We'd move them on the way we're going to trim the wage bill.

We are nowhere near competing with them in the market however you try to spin in.

We kept our best players at Spurs by raising their wages too -

And are you telling me you want to be competing with them in their stupid market?

Seriously?

Look at the players they are purchasing and the money they are - i mean - they are spending a fucking laughable amount of money on completely shite.

Did you want Haavertz? Jesus? Merino? Sterling?

Rice is the only player they have bought the last few seasons that I would have ever wanted and even still they have most clubs laughing at them for what they paid -

What is it you actually want? To spend money or to build a good squad cos the two are not always mutually exclusive.

EDIT - we paid the money to keep the likes of Kane, Eriksen, Lamela, Vertonghen, and Lloris at Spurs when we wanted to keep them did we not?

And then we got rid of all of them and signed a load of sub £100k a week players.
What we did Vs what we're doing are not the same things.

Mate, you keep changing the goal posts. We are back to square 1.

That's what arsneal did as well - it's a cycle almost every team goes through.

Build a squad, and pay good money to keep best players there - the longer players stay the more they earn - as older players leave, wages go down as you invest in younger players. Start to pay them more to keep them there.

Happened to Woolwich, happened to Chelsea, happening to Liverpool - why would it not happen to us?
