Many of our managers are a bit shit at many things, that’s very easy to believe as evidence based.
Has a Danish combo of DOF and Manager ever been successful at the elite level? Anywhere at all?
I’m not having a dig because they are Danish but we have ended up with a DOF and Manager who are both Danish and neither have ever won anything or previously had huge success at the elite level. Are we the test bunny? Or are we trying to emulate the success of an all-Danish football model that worked somewhere else?

Spoke to my Villa mate last night. He said to me they wouldn't be where they are today if Lange had stayed, and that the "it's Lange who signed x, y and z" is a myth, that Lange was just a pen pusher stuck behind his data screen while others actually did the real work and actually ignored most the names he'd bring forward. Villa fans are buzzing he's gone and laughing at us for thinking we'd signed the new scouting superstar.

Monchi has a CV that Lange can only dream of. What he achieved at Sevilla was remarkable. Didn't really work out at Roma, but that club has been a major mess for years. Did plenty good stuff at Villa and defo played his part in their resurgence. My mate who's a ST holder there says Monchi missed home and wanted a new challenge more than anything, though yeah there may have been some disagreements with Unai...that shit happens, though. The guy is still a zillion light-years ahead of Lange.

I have worked on a contracted basis for Spurs on the promotional side on a few occasions and . honestly what I recall most? It was the polite slightly embarrassed baffled looks I got when my enthusiasm and simple Joy at being part of the club in a tiny way would be evident.
Im a professional at what I do, I think ive told you guys I've stood in a room whilst Sam Mendes and a bunch of A listers he mercilessly took the piss out of Spurs. I didn't start thumping people.You do the job.
But at the club I was buzzing after one sizzle read about the clubs history the producers said " wow...you really sound like you mean that". I remember thinking you people should spend five minutes just fucking five with

I often think that the club gives off such a shambolic image publicly but internally it's probably way worse than we even imagine

What made me laugh mate I did a job for small independent school in West Africa the same week. Mostly because they needed all the help they could get. To my massive discredit I didn't expect to see the fee we arranged. School E-mailed me and thanked me really sweetly for the work paid in eight days. Our lot took many many months and a few reminders from the Agent.
