Management Johan Lange - Technical Director

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

What did he achieve today? Maybe hiding out with the Greenskeepers or gardeners? Perhaps with the catering staff? Or looking busy playing with a sports gaming app/thing so he can keep up to date.

No doubt checking his bank balance before the gravy train ends.

We are going round in circles a bit here.

- when you consider the injuries that a manager has then you are considering the resources he has at his disposal. That doesn’t mean you can’t assess the manager’s performance but you are considering relevant context. A managers job is to use the resources at his disposal to get results. Tudor actually sait it very well:

« There is strong quality in this playing squad, and my job is to organise it, energise it and improve our results quickly. »

The existence of injuries doesnt excuse everything but it must be considered and factored into our assessment.

- We have been more successful than Villa over the past 3 years. They have a better team than us at the moment though. The reason I say their model is likely not sustainable is because of their wages to turnover. They have a very delicate balance and they’re already stuck in a place where they have to buy the kind of 7/10 players that burdened us a few years ago. Guessand signed for 30m and immediately loaned out to Palace where he hasnt done much. Douglas Luiz on loan having flopped at Juve. Tammy Abraham???!! The only remotely interesting signings are 19 year olds.

- You need to address the whackamole argument. This is the last time I’ll say it because we’re speaking past each other. If the squad management you are expecting requires more money on transfer and wages (it does) then you are not criticising Lange, but the people who control the budget.

- I’ve already agreed with you about fullback and a ball playing midfielder. But without €€ we are talking about more young, high ceiling players who can’t contribute big time now.

- Gallagher is necessary precisely for the squad management reasons you have. Most of our 8s are not wanted or not fit. As Lange said in his interview, we shouldn’t buy just anything to fill those gaps. But Gallagher would start when all our midfielders are fit. He’s a clear upgrade.

- To make this strategy work, we need a manager who has a track record of improving players and he plays on the front foot. I think our fans would be a lot more patient with the youth vision if we played some attacking football. When weve tried to attack this season we have played great stuff. Perhaps Ange was a little too inflexible and plan A. Then we swung to the other extreme with Frank who is extremely reactive. Someone who is 75% Ange and 25% Frank would be great.
I can't help reading this and thinking... what a load of shite. I even read it twice... same conclusion.

More successful than Villa over the past 3 years??? Is this because we won a trophy you wanted to hand back to UEFA because Ange was in charge!!! League positions... 5th, 17th and most likely somewhere around 17th this season vs 4th, 6th and somewhere around 4th or 5th this season. Not even close!!! Villa will be fine and will finish above us this season and next season because they are showing ambition. They will sell their womens team or training ground or another 16 year old to the Chavs for 50m who will sell them a 16 year old for 50m. Whilst our ambition is to buy two 16 year olds for 50m and wait 5 years for them to "maybe" come good.

Lange has spent best part 500m and we've got worse. Those that control the budget have given him plenty of money and he has completely wasted it. So no, I won't be pointing the finger at the bean counters. Our decline is not down to one man but it starts with this Danish twat.

Gallagher a clear upgrade... in what universe. He's an English Bentancur - neat, tidy and gets around the pitch when in the mood. Nothing more, nothing less. This was a panic buy of the highest order. He might start for us but he is no upgrade.

Not sure what argument you are making or who you are defending but this why people speak past you because you make no sense. Just a load of inane babble...

Who was finding players in that period when we signed Dembele, Vertonghen, Dele, Dier, Aldwerweirald, Son etc. in what seemed like just a couple of windows? Whoever it was get them back. It was probably Pleaty.

When Paul Mitchell was here with poch we had a great system. Stifled to a degree under the club but it was that good that it succeeded in spite of the cunts running it. Get it back together.

Hell of a guess a month before it happened, with tudors name nowhere near the media and most up having never heard of him
POK never said we were getting Tudor. This narrative is bs.

It was over a month ago and unconnected to who we would hire. He said that Paratici wanted Tudor as a way to criticise him - wanted Tudor, got a new bird, heads gone.

On 11 Feb he was saying « I keep hearing de Zerbi ». His best guess about who we would actually hire was someone who was all over the media. He made this guess while we would have been talking to Tudor.

POK doesnt know anything and loves to comment on things that will never be verifiable, for attention.

You can only assume at this point the only thing keeping him in a job is his stealth, nobody can find the useless twerp to sack him because he's gotten so good at moving in silence, like a deadly fart...

Mitchell is clearly good at scouting but he seems to be quite hard to work with.

After falling out with Spurs/Levy he's gone on to work for three Red Bull clubs (Leipzig, New York and Bragantino), Cercle Brugge (as an advisor), Monaco and Newcastle. And it sems to have blown up around him every time.

I'm not against trying to bring him back since he is currently out work but he seems to have a "my way or the highway" mindset.

Lange strikes me as the type that is best left alone in a cupboard with his computer analysing data!

Maybe use him just for unearthing youth talent and bring in someone capable above him.

Agree... POK has built up this following of people desperate for any news good or bad or even if it's just bollocks which most of it is... he's a bigger fraud than that tit whisperer Zach Polanski.
