Btw nothing in Kehls career suggests he can build a De Zerbi team at all. At Dortmund he just signed a bunch of atheltic runners too. Very little technical talent.

That's sure to fix the issues we've had with not being able to pass a ball.
 
So he was sacked by Dortmund? Means he’s cheap, more shopping in the bargain bin.

They really aren’t getting it are they? Just constant corner cutting and short termism.

However, he does sign some exceptional young players, and is good at identifying those likely to fulfill their potential and succeed in the Premier League. That's a large part of why Villa came good so quickly after his tenure. And we can see the same here. Gray, Bergvall, Vuskovic and Tel in particular look like they could all become absolutely top talents here.

I'm not against him staying IF it's alongside someone who can do a better job than Vinai or Paratici of building a cohesive overall structure that these talents can fit into.

I thought Lange was brought in primarily as a talent spotter as that was his role at Villa . With Paratici - Levy brought him in after a 10 year stint at Juventus and he was responsible for a lot of good signings - Bentancur , Kulusevski and Romero being the first three . I thought Paratici was going to be the much needed football Guru we needed . I naively thought with both of them at the club we would be in clover . But instead of being the dynamic duo they went into a personal battle with each other for point scoring . It wouldn't surprise me if one or both of them said "its a him or me" . Hence Paratici exiting the club . I agree we need a football Guru to build a team and then add players that fit into a positive fully functioning team . We're miles away from that , but it would be great if we could find the much needed Guru .

Yep. It's Paratici we need to replace, not Lange. In the right setup he'll probably do well for us.
 
I just can't see Lange staying.

The ITKs seem to be convinced he's leaving in the summer.

Surely someone on the football side has to pay for the shambles this season. No way he can survive. If he does, we are truly fucked.

Thinking about it, retaining Lange is just the kind of incompetence our board is capable of!

If something drastic isn’t done structurally then we could quite easily do a Leicester!
