I dunno, he might do well back in his home country.
Sure, but Jose's problem is that his tactics in possession are from the stone age, and a team like Benfica in that league is going to be playing against parked buses every week.I dunno, he might do well back in his home country.
Hell that league made Ruben Amorim look like a top manager.
He can still become The Special One of punditry and it's frustrating that he won't just accept that. Sky needs him.At this stage, I don’t think it bothers him where he works at. He’s already won it all at club level. Nowadays he just raking in his millions, whether when being employed or sacked.

Only has to beat two other guys. Not possible?
Small Portuguese teams defend with 10 guys behind the ball. He can’t broke buses
I think it matters to him, clearly. No one can believe Benfica will pay him more than some shit PL club could. At this stage, I don’t think it bothers him where he works at. He’s already won it all at club level. Nowadays he just raking in his millions, whether when being employed or sacked.
Well and it's interesting right, because he could easily have closed up shop after United, after us, after Roma and just declared himself Legend Emeritus and his legacy of being A Winner would have been secure for all time.Let me underline this for effect, I loathe the twat, but he very clearly has only ever cared about winning and you have to respect that.
He’ll be living in the area where he grew up. A proper homecoming.
He has to be one of if not the most successful Portuguese managers in all of football. So having a street in his hometown makes sense. He’ll be living in the area where he grew up. A proper homecoming.
He actually has a street named after him in his home town.
He makes absolutely no bones about it. He openly says he expected to have had it by now, but the timing just hasn’t happened. I suspect it’ll be a massive regret if he’s never in the right place at the right time.He has to be one of if not the most successful Portuguese managers in all of football. I read that there's a break clause in the contract for next summer if the national team job becomes available or if there is a presidency change at Benfica. I do think that he is eyeing the NT job.
And I think that his football is better suited for international play at this point. It would allow him to extend his career a fair bit.He makes absolutely no bones about it. True but with Greasy Ron on the way out I think the right time has passed. He makes absolutely no bones about it. He openly says he expected to have had it by now, but the timing just hasn’t happened. I suspect it’ll be a massive regret if he’s never in the right place at the right time.
I still like him for the comedy and entertainment value. The world needs colorful characters in our times and he’s one. But José is not getting jobs because he’s amusing, it’s because he’s been a decent manager for a long time and for most clubs he can raise their level. At this stage, I don’t think it bothers him where he works at. He’s already won it all at club level. Nowadays he just raking in his millions, whether when being employed or sacked.
