I don't want someone who, as a senior player, went behind the back of a manager who had turned the club's fortunes around, ignored his instructions and took his teammates on a piss-up in Dublin.

Redknapp got him out of the club soon afterwards and rightly so.

Yes, he was a great player and very popular but he went down massively in my estimation after that.

Even if you put that to one side (which I'm not prepared to do), what has he achieved as a coach that suggests that we should appoint him?
 
Regarding Ledley King:

Pre Ledley we had 4 cleansheets in 28 games.

With Ledley we've kept 4 cleansheets in 9 games.

That is based on the first time Ledley was seen in first team training which was after the Wolves defeat at home.
 
If the likes of Ole, Fwank, Arteta can get the jobs they are in then why can't Ledley start a career in coaching that leads to management

I never thought he wanted to go down this route but he must have had a change of mind. Seems the shy type, very nice guy, but something steely about him too

Would love someone like him to manage the club one day:ledley:

Even better if he believes in sexy football :ledleylick:

He had a brief run as youth coach right after retirement I believe, but quit because he did not enjoy it.

Granted this was right after retirement which was a fair bit of time ago, so he is probably in a completely different place in life and mentally compared to then.

The stats Totti dug up also helps.
