Manager Jose Mourinho

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Blaming players
Unable to hold a lead agaist lesser rivals
Making laughable substitutions
Playing a horrible brand of football
No improvement from last season
No plan B
Not improved us defensively
Lesser teams with less budget but play a nice brand off football above us in league

This is all on Mourinho
let's say we sacked jose
We sign a new manager and have initial bounce. But then...Oh yeah, we still have the same defenders that can't defend and the same attackers that offer nothing.
Toby and Bale isn't getting any younger, Dier ,sanchez, davies, winks, sissoko , lamela, etc isnt going to turn world class regardless of the manager, we still have the same problem

i rather back mourinho instead since he , unlike most of the players we currently have , has proven himself to be capable of winning titles multiple times

Don't give me opinion such as "but pep" , pep is the most backed manager in history of football who are allowed to hand picked anyone he likes

Or "but klopp" whose success with Liverpool will probably doesn't last long since they actually have bigger chance to end this season trophyless than us

I have friends that are ManU fans and they made similar complains, blaming Mourinho as the root of all evil.

Since Mourinho was fired, Pogba is still his intermittent self, they have spent even more money buying more players than Mourinho wanted and yet have nothing to show for it.

And still trophyless
And still playing shite football occasionally

Things OGS has got it right

-team look more united
-Positive atmosphere

Things he got it wrong

-worse defence ( look at the amount of goals they conceded )
-Tactics
-Line ups
-Favouritism
-No plan B
-subs
-Boring football generally
-relies on individuals.

So basically they replace mourinho with a cheerleader.

Do you enjoy watching us play?

Do you enjoy watching us play?
Yes , i enjoy an organize defensive performance as well , I don't really fancy possession football , tiki taka here and there without cutting edge.

We do look organize most of the times than not and effective when attacking
Yesterday performance was bad but it started with stupid VAR whom probably took a toll on our players mentality
The 3 goals we conceded were pure individual mistakes from the defence and GK
First goal dier could have clear it away or lloris could cut it out, second goal was on lloris when he should have push the ball out for corner instead
And third goal was rodon being inexperienced

How organised was our defense agaist Liverpool?
We was all over the shop.
Dier is NOT centre back, Doherty is a dud,

We make very few clear cut chances, so the chances we do make its huge pressure on two players to convert them.

With no goals coming from other parts of the pitch, we are on a knife edge, now we not winning, like we were early season, there is no Plan B.

Compare us to the teams above us, they all play to win, we play not to lose

yes it was individual mistakes, for me they are down to us not having a CH who can organize the players round him, the guy that can and does do it Toby doesn't have the legs now, in the long run we need an organizing CH (thats a lot of money) in the short do we play Toby and play deeper or 3 at the back again with Toby running the show
with Toby at the back at least when he kicks it long it goes to the player with Dier it takes 3 or 4 looks before he see's the pass then he over hits it (can Jose not see Dier is not a quarterback passer)

People who say they like defensive football are talking shit. Their enjoyment of the game is based on the result. Can you enjoy a bus parking low possession, low chances created game if we lose? If you have to wait until the end of the game to know whether you enjoyed the football then it's not good mate.
It's fun once in a while, the excitement of hanging on against a giant and hoping for a smash and grab, which when it comes off is awesome. If you would still enjoy the football when getting battered all game and losing then maybe you're into self torture.

99% it's totally shit to watch. It's literally about playing percentages and taking as less risk a possible because it's the EASIEST thing to do. It's about stifling opponent creativity. As equally lacking in excitement as it is honour.

It is heavily reliant on your opponent having the balls and courage (that your team doesn't) to attack otherwise it's a bus vs bus stalemate.
It's literally a game of who has less shame and we win it most weeks.

Coaching players to play through teams is the hardest thing to do in football. Sitting back in a defensive shape and countering is the easiest thing to do. It's why bottom teams bus park. It's why when clubs who play football are under threat of relegation they hire a bus park specialist (Big Sam, Pulis etc) because they play the percentages.

There's nothing genius or aesthetic about this atrocious football.

So you literally doesn't understand the concept that in this world, some people might have different preference than you ?

From the bottom of my heart , I enjoy this kind of compilation more than step over or tricks compilation

Some of the defender there played for jose mourinho fyi , we don't have them unfortunately

Hit the nail in the head!
Mourinho is a busted flush, unfortunately we are on a being taken back years in terms of development

United fans is saying that back then before they sacked jose

3 years later + 300m spend and they are still trophyless
Only difference is the player now smilling and standard is now all time low.
While our standard is actually on all time high , everyone expect us to win at least a trophy this season. We never had that much of an expectation before.

in an eariler post someone said "shopping bargains are always hit and miss" yes they are but why is it that Leicester's bargains have a lot more hits than us, no matter who is in charge of the scouting department
think the head of scouting left Leiceter and went to Everton are Everton getting more hit's then miss'es ?
Its not just down to the Head of Scouting, maybe the scouting committee don't like these bargain basement buys, maybe the scouts are looking for the wrong skill levels

United have a history of winning thing, even mourinho won 2 trophies for them.

However how can you compare untied to us, we got a way smaller budget, but so have WH, LEICS, their managers not on £15m a season, we are probably one of the worst teams to watch to play attacking football.

Plus Ole has a love for the club, Jose is just passing through until his next payoff

A compilation is the only way that shit is worth watching because in an antifootball team the typical 90 mins does not have more than a few occurances of those tackles.

It's also a basic lack of understanding about football. It's like thinking clapping your hands is more exciting to watch than someone doing backflips. Maybe it is if you don't understand the difficulty.

To use your example, step overs and tricks require being aware of and deftly controlling a football whilst also being aware of your opponent. You're manipulating a football whilst moving, and attempting to beat a professional top level athlete (one of the hardest things to do in football), and you have to prevent him getting the ball at the same time. You have just 2 feet and generally 1 is your plant leg. All he has to do is time a lunge/toe.

You cannot compare the 2. There's a reason why the most expensive players are attacking players with flair. And the most expensive defenders are the ones who can play football alongside defend.

If you like to watch defensive football you must understand why you are rightfully in the minority and cannot reasonably be upset at anyone demanding better.

Duncan Ferguson is someone who actually love the club tho , he makes way for ancelotti
OGS knows he is inept & united definitely deserve a better manager but persist with the position for the sake of money, could and should have been sacked multiple times already if their owners had any standard

But enough talk about united, let them stay trophyless , in this season we are actually only lost 4 times in the league , 2x to reigning champion Liverpool , only city and Liverpool lost less
I believe Levy can see the progress and can see where the problem lies , he will without a doubt , stick with mourinho for a time beings

They are infinitely happier though, as there is more joy in watching your team try to win matches.
