Manager Jose Mourinho

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Isn't Foyth saying the players didn't like Jose talking shit in press conferences? How could that be a good thing?
Let´s see:

"
Exclusive - Argentina defender Juan Foyth has claimed that under-fire Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho is 'very close' to the Spurs squad and reaffirmed that he is still a 'special' manager.

Foyth insisted that Mourinho has a close bond with the squad and an open line of communication: "The truth is that when you see him at the press conferences, he tells you [what he thinks] himself," he said." I think in the Tottenham [Amazon Prime] documentary he said it, that everyone thinks that he is a bad person, that he always wants to fight. But no, the truth is that with the group, he is very close to the group. He talks a lot with all the players. It was a surprise to me when he arrived. Because of course, we would all watch the press conferences and say 'uh, not this'. But the truth is that he is a very good person."

When asked why Mourinho is called 'the special one', Foyth said: "He can be called however he wants, however he wants to call himself, because he's won everything".

He is obviously calling him a prick...the subtext is clear 😉

One more thing about this interview.

Foyth spoke really well about his friend Lo Celso ( I agree with his words): "For me, he already exploded last year. When Mourinho arrived he did not start playing, but after it was impossible to take him out because he was the engine of the team, the one who ran the most, the one who asked for the ball the most".

All very well. But then, Eric Dier is mentioned.

Foyth: "I remember a game we were talking to Dier on the bench and he told me, 'I can't believe he doesn't play for Real Madrid or Barcelona'."

If you need an example of what needs to change at Spurs, there you have it. Whatever you feel about Jose´s capabilities, this is what he is fighting against. A couple of months before saying this, Eric Dier was playing a CL final - it didn´t make any difference in his brain. Players like Eric Dier, Harry Winks (and others); it´s not just that they are not good enough, they are weak. They don´t understand what they are supposed to be as big team players. Huge mistake from Jose when he decided to trust him and gave him a new contract - it´s funny, though; people who want Jose out should speak about it much more often than they actually do.

What?

What’s did I miss? What’s the lie everyone is referring to?
Looks like he is doubling down on his lie, It’s like being managed by Jeffrey Archer. Pity press conferences are not under oath so he could get banged up for perjury like Archer.

Would save us a fortune and be funny seeing the fanboys writing to him in prison asking him to marry them. Would be like those serial killers getting proposals from women whilst on death row.

If he has been lying in such a blatant way , when club tweets seem to tell a completely different story it makes you wonder why/? It is all very strange
