Ex-Spurs Player Juan Foyth

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Yet, he's playing for really good side in Spain while we have Sanchez and Dier in starting eleven most of the time.

He is no better than them and really good side is a stretch. Plus he is moved around for that side because he isn't good enough to nail down a spot and has been ok at best for them.

Its great that he has found a fit with a lesser team which is more on his level, but he isn't an upgrade on what we have and does nothing to improve us. The 15m we can get for him is much more valuable than him coming back.

Foyth is good technically. But he did not adapt well to the physical pace and game of the Premier League. He isn't the first Argentinian/South American to struggle with that and probably not the last. This is nothing new and not a slight on us or Foyth. We took a gamble on a young kid with potential but it didn't work.

He's better suited for Spanish football and that is where he will flourish.

He has been bouncing around the squad for a mid table Spanish team, at best playing ok for them and we are going to regret letting him go?

This is best case scenario for us, clearly showed he wasn’t good enough for us, hasn’t shown anything to indicate he is good enough now but played well enough to likely get his club to make the move permanent.

We shouldn’t regret anything but be happy it worked out great for everyone involved.

I've always maintained there is a very good player there. Some players are just versatile. If after the season we've witnessed you wouldn't give him a chance over the likes of dier, sanchez,Doherty, winks, sisokko then your fucking nuts. Never had a run of games here made some errors but also showed he could play imo.

Do you watch Villarreal games? I do as they are the Spanish side I follow. First of all there 7th not mid-table, nearly reaching a Europa league semi, and since the turn of the year, Foyth has been excellent, a real useful utility player

Again with people whining about the classification of Villarreal. 7th is pretty close to mid table but if that offends you fine, they are a step below the top Spanish teams and at least 1 tier below the big 3 teams there.

The point being that they are not a better team than us or playing at a higher level.

As for his play, it’s great that he has been a useful player and maybe he is the first player to be moved around because he is too good but usually that is because they are not good enough to nail down a starting spot at a regular position. Maybe he is actually good enough to start at CB for us and Villarreal are so strong that they instead shift him around but I find that very unlikely.

As for him being great, that is not what the reports I have read earlier in the season said, but you watch him so maybe it is true that he has been great, again I doubt that.

I have no doubt that he has done well in Villarreal and they would like to keep him. I haven’t said he is crap or been bad for them. But there is nothing that I have seen or read to indicate that he is close to good enough to start for us, especially at CB which is where we would need him. There is nothing wrong with you being happy with what he has provided to you at Villarreal and him not being a fit for Tottenham. as I said it looks like it will work out well for everyone involved.
