Player Kevin Danso

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

His passing was a bit off but that doesn't have to mean anything. First game in a new league, Liverpool on fire, the lack of time in the club.

He kept trying and he seemed confident. Different from our current defenders. Didn't seem to have the need to get involved so much. Not the kind of narcissism that our other defenders show. We don't need pretenders who think they're Messi. Just guys who can keep the ball out of the box.

But with Ange's coaching, Danso will probably turn to shit within the next few months like everyone else. He won't have the feet to do the tika-taka in the penalty box with 6 pressing opponents. He'll fuck up and the Angein crew will start shitting on him, because the problem never lies with the manager.

I think he will turn out to be our most reliable defender over the next few years.

Seems like a very strong no-nonsense centre-back who will just do his job. Nothing glamorous or pretentious about him, doesn't seem like a guy who gets involved in all kinds of stupid and distracting stuff like Romero does.

He is the future they will have to ship Cutey out in the Summer and as for Mickey I am thinking he is Richarlison MK2 (not in ability)
Unfortunately all three seem very injury prone & unreliable. Mickey is the biggest shame as he is such a good player. I hope we shift rich & Romero in the summer.

One thing I like about Danso is how he has just slipped into the role without any fuss! No nerves, no gimmicks or wanting to prove his worth. Just a confident footballer who hits the tackles hard and looks to be progressing when on the ball! Would like to see him beside an actual CB like Cuti or VdV

Figured out who he reminds me of. Prime Billy Ocean.

He had a tough first two games but he was immense yesterday. Not a big drop off from Romero at all and a huge upgrade on Dragusin! Very similar profile to Romero - not as good on the ball but less reckless. Looked a real calm presence yesterday and seems flexible (could play him beside any of Romero, VDV, Davies or Gray and he'll be fine).

This is a very good signing. If Romero or VDV miss a big Europa league game then you are no longer concerned as this lad is quality back up.
