Good solid no nonsense Centre Back
He's been excellent in every games he's played since Romero got injured.
A great asset and a great attitude too.
His passing is underrated. Love how he moves the ball a lot faster than the Argie. When Xavi is fully at it and we stop playing the fridge bros at home, it'll show even more.
Not much a drop off from Romero, if at all
Skill gap between centre backs usually decreases as the team in question adopts a more defensive stance and simplifies the game, and since we're quite committed to this anti football at the moment the downgrade from Romero to him is as not as big as it would be otherwise.
Between Romero's regular absences and the need to manage VdV's workload, I assume he'll play quite a lot.

In defense yes he’s a beast
In possession there’s a massive gap and it hugely affected our buildup midweek.

VDV LB and him and Romero CB. All 3 have to start somehow, that’s the most logical solution. I wouldn’t be against Romero playing 9
Could see that being used at some stage.
