Just want to say that I thought Tripps did us and England proud yesterday, probably our best player after Harry, IMO.
Here here. Seeing him play so well in an England shirt brought home just how good he is now.

Think he gets taken for granted a bit by some of us. Me included. His touch and first time balls are great. And defensively/positionally he's improved massively.

Also love his attitude. Very few modern footballers seem to actually give a shit about losing. FA cup semi he seemed genuinely upset and was the last player to leave the pitch, after taking time to thank the fans. Meanwhile I had my mate in my earhole (ironically) bleating on about why Toby hadn't played.

Love you Tripps, goodnight xxx

Can Trips just go ahead and take all of our corners next year? Pretty sure England has already scored more from corners than maybe we did all of last season?

Not sure what the deal is, but Eriksen just hasn’t produced much from out there. I always hate to sound critical because he is world class for sure. But with Christian’s ball striking abilities, I really like the idea of him lurking around the edge of the area during corners.

First post, BTW!

Good first post cause you're spot on. Trippier's set pieces are gold, same as his crosses and through balls. I've found Eriksens corners frustrating and he'd be an asset on the edge of the box instead.

His crossing has always been good - and you can see the forwards running forward when he gets the ball as they know one of them will receive an inch perfect cross - but as England don't seem to have any 'specialist' set piece takers, Trippier has been taking most of the free kicks and corners. And its that which has almost taken him up another level as his delivery has been great.

I think he's created about 10 chances in the first 2 games which is phenomenally good going, and England have looked more dangerous from set pieces since Beckham.

Eriksen has been Spurs set piece expert, and done well, but I'd certainly like to see him share some of those with Trippier, if only to have a more varied delivery

Shows a lot about how useful Trippier is going forwards when England are pretty much exclusively only getting any joy down his side. Young on the left may as well not be playing compared to our boy Tripps.

He certainly looks much more useful as a wing back in a 3 CB system to allow him more freedom to get up and around the final third.
