24 appearances in 2.5 seasons is a disgrace for someone who had so much promise way back on that opening day v Newcastle away.

Don’t agree, he’s held his own at Barca away after making a mistake that led to their goal.
Takes bollocks to not shrink away and have a poor game.
He was solid that night otherwise, and the only issue was the massacre to his confidence, culminating in him missing out on games while Sanchez was played at RB.
Might not come back to us, but will definitely stay in the PL.
3.5 years left on KWP contract, so after a 6 month loan will be 3 years left on contract.
Either return to Spurs after getting a decent run of games if he impresses, or potential sale to Southampton or other PL club.

Plenty of RB Cover for Spurs includes Aurier, Tanganga, Foyth - plus Dier who played for almost a season at RB for Spurs - plus academy youngsters (either specialist RB Hinds or centre backs/RB such as Eyoma).
Either return to Spurs after getting a decent run of games if he impresses, or potential sale to Southampton or other PL club.

Or option 3, he stinks the place out and we struggle to shift him in the Summer.
Like with Onomah, it was time for him to move on and we should have accepted the best offer for him. 5+ add ons maybe. It's a gamble to loan him and hope he plays well enough to appreciate in value. A Championship loan would have been better for that. I fear he won't play that much at Southampton and won't excel in the games he does, hopefully I'm wrong on both counts.

There's no upside to a Championship loan though. That's not going to catch anyone's eye for a soon-to-be 23 year old on PL squad player wages.
The Championship's a tough old place, you need to be up to it physically to survive. The trouble with KWP is that he hasn't proven he's up to it physically at any level really. Very poor of us to have allowed a player to reach 22 without it being shown he can meet the physical demands of professional football. If you can survive a year in the Championship, you acquire some value.
Think he will surprise you at Southampton (obviously not allowed to play against us in FA Cup).
And he's not on high wages so your first comment makes no sense.
Sadly a victim of the Poch no play or no loan policy for youngsters.
To put KWP into perspective Steven Bergwijn is younger than KWP , and Bergwijn has about 4 years of playing in the Netherlands.
And to give another illustration of how Poch was holding youngsters back, Gedson is younger than George Marsh, Kazaiah Sterling & Brandon Austin and only very slightly older than Jack Roles & Japhet Tanganga. .
