Ex-Spurs Player Kyle Walker

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He gave us 8 great professional years, acted class during the transfer and kept his mouth shut during this whole affair. I intend on being at Wembley when this lot come down and I fully intend to slap anyone who boos Kyle across the mouth

No one should boo him, he's done nothing wrong. We've had players leave who have forced a move, there is no evidence of that in this case. It is likely he asked to move and we said ok. There will always be rumours but until I see some evidence that he acted unprofessionally I maintain my respect for him and the long stint he had at the club where he was a professional who did well for us.

I will hate seeing him in another clubs kit. But I won't hate Kyle.

He has given us good years, and now a huge transfer fee. Apart from some speculation in the press, do you know something we all don't?

He did give us good years. I'm not going to wish him well though. He's joined a league rival.

But don't tell fans your staying or mention that you're Tottenham until you die if you don't mean the words.

We will move on. He's no Modric, he's no Bale. He's made his bed. Didnt want to stay the course, see us into our new stadium and become a legend.

Hate is such a nasty word!

Don't doubt he is the best right wing back in the league. However he was part of a well oiled system with Dier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen and Rose as well. Walker will have to learn the Pep way along with Stones and Otamendi. I believe some players are only as good as those around them. Or they are one of those elite players who inspire those around them. Love Kyle but he's certainly not the latter.

So why were all such plaudits bestowed upon KW before this saga began?

We may already have seen his peak years?

Equally so, maybe hes an integral part in a title winning season with City this coming season.?

Seems Pochettino didn't believe he could complete gruelling back 2 back league and CL matches.

We've rotated FBs since it was a viable option to do so....

Love the bloke. Served us well. Best of luck to him.

Would feel better if we have another lined up to replace him that plays how we want our FB's to play, with pace and width and constantly bombing on. Going into the season with Tripps as our first choice would be poor to say the least. But I have faith that we are addressing this given the links to Pereira. Time to judge the window is when it's shut.

No cheers, no boos. Time to move on, unfollow him on social media, he's now playing for another club. When he retires is when I let him back in.

He's a football player not a STH from Harlow. When he says Tottenham till I die the only fool is who ever takes it at face value

3/4 years ago I feared he would turn into a Glen Johnson style horror show at the back but exciting going forward.

His defending his improved a lot with Poch and his marauding runs down the right I will miss. He is prone to being exposed when pushing forward but then who wouldn't be in that formation.

He turned out to be a quality player for us playing to his best in the formation and with the players around him.

Thanks for the service Kyle, shame it ended the way it did, only time will tell if this has been a good move or not.

Of course, no one needs to wish him well. I am not aware of any statements he has made in the past. Can you point me to them? Also, we don't know what the situation is. I find it hard to believe we would sell Walker to a rival just because he wanted to leave.

Real mixed feelings about it all to be honest. Possibly the easiest player to lose in our starting XI but ideally didn't want to lose anyone.

If Poch feels that KT and KWP are good enough for the season then that is good enough for me. If he feels he needs another RB then that shouldn't be an issue for the players as we need 2 players who can start and perhaps KWP needs more time.

Not gonna lie, I also feel sad that this had to happen...

The only reason I'm not too worried about it is Poch has a history of making strange and risky decisions that are initially an issue, and even backfire, but eventually work out better than predicted on paper in the long run, especially when only looking at it from the outside and the obvious loss. There are probably a lot of reasons behind the scenes so it is hard to judge what really went on or how it will turn out. Again, on paper it doesn't look good to sell a long-serving good right back to a rival with more money, but I actually trust the magician.

True. Remember when we started a season with DIER in the midfield? Seemed like the end of the world.
