We will see how much we've missed him on his return. He's taken a lot of flack previously, but I think his importance to the team is understated, and he will be an even more important player in Poch's setup.
And Clyne is now in the England squad, and Bertrand is looking excellent under Koeman.Yeah the fullbacks shined for for Poch at Southampton. So much so that one went to united for 30mil and the back up right back went for 16mil.
Made a goal line clearance... That's about all I saw of him from the highlights. The number one thing that I think will help us out more than anything is Kyle Walker coming back. I have set to watch the highlights of the game against City, but I've heard he looked good.

Yeah, watched it as soon as I posted this.
My money says that we see him on the pitch for the 1st team in two weeks.

Cannot wait to see Walker in action tonight! Really hoping he gets a start...
I honestly feel that he could be a stand out player for us under Poch. He's had a long process coming back to fitness but he will have been working closely to Poch while on his way back to fitness. He is the ideal player for the system he wants and will give Lamela freedom too.
I seriously thing that him regaining fitness and coming back into the team will be better than any signing we will make in Jan. I might be being over optimistic but I think he could be the difference between us making Champs League positions, or finishing 7th - 10th as a lot of people are presuming.
Lets hope that he can stay fit.
ALL HAIL WALKER!![]()
Walker was one of if not the most consistant player before his injury, Eriksen was good every game or two but Walker was nearly always putting in 7/10 performances minimum only Lloris was at that level IMO. Might take him a little while to get going but glad to see him back.
The back four and keeper has huge potential now with Davies settling in and Fazio growing with each performance, I really hope Kyle stays fit

Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Walker has revealed that the low point for him during his recent injury spell was missing out on the World Cup.
Walker is preparing for a return to the Tottenham first team when the side takes on Besiktas in the Europa League this evening and his return is a welcome boost over a busy Christmas and New Year period.
Walker would have likely been included in Roy Hodgson’s squad for the tournament in Brazil, but instead the defender was forced to watch from afar.
“Missing the World Cup through injury was most definitely a low point for me,” said Walker.
“That was probably made worst by the fact I didn’t make it back in time for the start of the season which everybody thought I would do.”
The good news is that rather than dwell on that low point, Walker appears to be using it as inspiration to drive forward and regain some of his best form for Spurs.
Tottenham play plenty of games over the winter and Walker’s return gives Mauricio Pochettino plenty of different squad options such as being able to utilise Eric Dier as a centre-back.
“That was a big low, but you have to move on. I’ve got a wise old head on my shoulders now.”
“I want to dig deep and start playing games and winning trophies now.”
Walker has lost his place at international level with Southampton’s Nathaniel Clyne currently holding that spot under Roy Hodgson.
You can tell a player has been injured a while when his thread only has 25 pages!
