And to think so many said we didnt need to strengthen our squad while all our rivals were bringing in additions. We cant improve what we already have, they said. New additions will upset our stars, they said. Selling Walker to Man City was the start of the rot. A shocking, pathetic, transfer that was an embarresment to our club
Its like the club threw in the towell and accepted we had reached our peak. To Dare Is To Do?
To be fair, this pill will be a lot more bitter to swallow for the people who thought we could win the title without buying in the summer.

We are punching above our weight,no home games as such, half the budget other teams have city,United, goons, chavs! Last 16 of the CL and we are playing shit....don't think we've to much to moan about.....
Bullshit. Were the ninth richest club in fucking Europe. We should not be struggling against the likes of West Brom and Leicester.
Our budget is kept under an iron fist because of the business ethos of the investment company that controls the purse strings of our club.
Profits over Trophies.

Reality bites.

Time for Pochettino to look at the squad and try and get more out of the players who not so recently were being feted.

No drama and no crisis as yet but we ain't winning zilch this season and we need to get signings in January.

Some players have got too comfortable and Pochettino needs to shake them up.

thank goodness not too long to wait for the next game, where hopefully we can put this to bed, and get back on the right road. We seem to have lost our mojo this year (apart from CL games), and we are struggling to break down teams who 'park the bus'. Let's hope we can get it sorted sooner rather than later.

Not quite the advantage it sounds domestically, when we're only the 6th richest in our league.

Sissoko is easily our worst first team player. For all the stick Paulinho had while playing for us he was by far a more valuable player than this speed merchant.

Didn’t Paulinho turn his back on a free kick along with Adebayor leading to a goal?

He was a cunt mate and Barca are welcome

Disagree Lloris has been a bystander, nothing for him to do, Schmichael has been busy, movement is OK, we are getting behind them.
I was at the game and watching players STANDING with the ball looking for others who were STANDING watching him, some were strolling but none were running into space, We all remember AVB style of football and getting hit by a couple of break away goals. Then we complain we had 60% possesion.

they are both shit no doubt:eriksenserious:

Didn’t se any of tonight’s game so can’t comment on Sissoko performance but everyone who watched it says it was poor
Fair enough but Sissoko has had a couple of decent games unlike Paulinho who never did for us apart from one decent half against Stoke as I recall before Charlie Adam injured him

Unfair comparison imo

All this shit has been disproven time and time again. We can’t compete on the same level of spending as the other five big clubs in the league - they spend more on wages alone than Spurs bring in annually. Same with Real, Barca, Juventus, PSG and Bayern, and possibly some other clubs with oil billionaire backers in Europe.

The argument that Levy is not spending on this club is a tired argument and a stupid argument. He and Poch are making the most of the resources they have while actively planning for a near future where we will be on a similar financial playing field with the other elite clubs in Europe.

Of course, none of has has to do with the poor results as of late, but sure, let’s just go beat the deadest horse of all time again.

Glad Lamela's back but Son scored 21 goals last season.... Don't be a dickhead

Now we have them both available. Not sure the need to bring son into that discussion. Just glad we have another option when eriksen or Alli are playing like they do against the less glamorous teams in the EPL...

From what i heard on the stream tonight, the fans were immense as usual. 2-0 down, really frustrating performance but they were still singin away. Well played to them

This doesn't change the fact we stood still for virtually the whole transfer window while all our competitors were bringing in additions. Are we supposed to just accept our place in the food chain? Sit back and be happy with our lot?
We have 65-80,000 fans paying pretty much the highest ticket prices in England every other week. They deserve more than the complacency shown by the club last summer.
A complacency thats now coming back to haunt us. Far more

Obviously hacked off with the result, but saw some fight, aggression and spirit from the boys today. First-half was open and close, and we took the game to them second half. Have been far more fucked off with results like WBA and against Scum.
Think we're looking a little stale however. Need to mix things up and definitely need a fresh face or two in January.
