Match Leicester City v Tottenham Hotspur

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Morning Spurs fellas.

Waited for the dust to settle a bit before posting. Just wanted to say that it was fine margins last night - if either (or indeed all) Alli, Sissoko, Lorente score and everything looks very different. I do think you have some issues with Alli - he's having bad spell, (surely to be expected at his age, but will pass) and that puts pressure on Dembele who is, IMO, your most important player. When he plays well, you play well.

When you scored, I thought a draw was a far more likely result than a win for us and you had the chances to level - just didn't happen. But every team goes through these patches - this is when you find out how good Poch is I reckon. For what it's worth I think it's obvious he's a top manager.

And in fairness, we were excellent last night, especially in the first half - our best performance this season. My guess (and hope, obviously) is that we'll get better and better from now on, and I think we'll take points from other top 6 sides - 2-1 at the KP might not seem quite so disastrous in a couple of months.
Also glad to see the weird bitterness between the fans has pretty much abated. Good luck!

Hi Jock. As you know, Im here win lose or draw.
Praise when its due. Criticise when I see fit.
Just a balanced approach rather than all this head in the sand, punching above our weight attitude shown by the priveledged few after every poor performance/result

Fucking lol.

Tottenham Massive Tottenham Massive telling it like Citizen Smith.... the voice of the people.

Oh and it's "privileged". One should get oneself a spell checker wot wot.

Dont really want to go into the game. We are bang out of form at the moment for whatever reason. Several players looking miles away from their best - perhaps the worst game i've seen Dier have in a Spurs shirt.
We seem to go through this slump every season and come out the other side fighting so not gonna really lose too much sleep over it.

One thing i have to mention. Once i got to the concourse last night I noticed the away crowd was a little bit more muted than it has been recently. Perhaps it was the weather or the fact it was a Tuesday night. Perhaps our current form had got us a little nervous.

Unfortunately once i took my seat i had to sit through one of the most toxic experiences i've had at a match home or away for a long time. A good 4 or 5 "fans" behind me obviously felt it was their responsibility to make sure our players knew exactly how fucking dog shit they where, every touch, every pass, every cross was met with constant abuse, some of it racially tinged. Worst still they seemed to encourage other fans around them to join in so by the time we were 2-0 down it felt like the whole section was at it.

We were only 3 rows from the front so it was clear that the players could hear it. What do you think that does to their confidence and their energy levels? The usual scapegoats where involved, but not even Kane or Lloris managed to get away with it.

We made a lot of mistakes last night, so its understandable that fans will be frustrated, but the abuse began the minute we kicked off and certain players were getting it in the neck before they'd even received the ball and had a chance to fuck it up! It got me so riled that when we finally scored i turned around and screamed at our own fans to shut the fuck up rather than directing it to the home fans sat 10 yards from me!

I honestly cant express in words how extreme the constant torrent of negativity was. Maybe i've been lucky in the past, i was very selective about where i sat at the lane and have mostly done away games for the last 4 or 5 years, and the main reason for that is because i want to watch my football team in a certain way, surrounded by like minded fans.

Pouring scorn on the team on here as recovery method for fragile egos is one thing but doing it at a match, at an away game even! Fuck off and die and give up your seat to someone who is more deserving of it, i dont care how many games you've been to, you don't support our club like that.

I was in Row D and had a very similar experience - our fans have become very entitled, we should never assume any away game is going to be easy.

I dunno mate. Take a look on this thread leading up to the game. And the equivalent thread on Foxes Talk? Plus at the game there was some fairly heated "debates" going on... a lot of chants from our last result at yours being thrown back at us which is understandable.

Dont get me wrong, i would be glad for these fixtures to go back to being "just another game" we have enough grudge matches a season to contend with as it is.

I was in C. It was embarrassing. Would have preferred to have been up the back somewhere. I'd understand it if these were all "new" supporters who'd only been on board since weve been decent, but most of them where in their 50s or 60s!

Not condoning this type of “support” but I can see their frustration. We absolutely should be destroying a team like Leicester. I couldn’t give a fuck if they fluked the league once in their exisitance, last season we showed them up for what they really are.

I thought by their performance it was 'cup final syndrome' all over again, tbh.

Slim chance they'll play at that level again until they visit Wembley imo.

I don't think you'll find a single Yido thats not frustrated by such results, but turning so quickly(*) and venting from the stands is nothing but counter productive.

If you can't SUPPORT unconditionally for a mere 90mins then stay at home and spit your bile at the TV imo....

(*Given the relative highs of recent years... There's no justifiable cause for 'revolt' so show a bit of backbone, ffs!)

That was in a game where we were still motivated to win and they were completely on the beach with their version of Sherwood in charge.....

They where at it before we even conceded.

It should be remembered that last season they got back into it in the second half and made it 2-1, the game could have gone either way until around the sixtieth minute when we tore away. Look at their starting lineup on that day as well.

No excuses for our performance last night but a lot of fans went in to that stadium thinking we were gonna walk it. I certainly didnt because i know how tight all our other games have been against them of recent.

He descends deeper into his troll shell.

What a joyless existence....

Not like he'll ever get what he's craving without some soulless sell-out bollocks ruining the club for genuine supporters.

I know this'll just garner a disagree or denial as always but theres 1000's of proper City fans that are living proof.

Every season they have to advertise "tickets available" for every game as their matchdays are just a soulless corporate day out now aside from a few games a season (and that includes their realistic quest to become kings of Europe).

...Worse the club could become utterly abused like so many owners promising 'new dawns' before ("Hi Spammers!").

Deluded cunts like this can't even look as far as teams in their owm league during this very season as cause for caution/reservation... (Everton?)

Nah fuck that, "i'm not interested in finances".... I just want my proverbial pony, damn-it!

Shitty, entitled attitude which i'm sure transcends their so-called fandom and pervades their life generally.

I felt it was dropping off a bit - you got a decent reception on ft and there were a few posts talking about HK in admiring tones and wondering where the hate had come from in the first place. For the record I think he's a fantastic player and seems a perfectly decent bloke too.

It's always felt a bit manufactured to me anyway - never been any bad blood before and most Leicester fans I know have always liked Spurs.

I did think the Mrs Vardy chants/Mr Vardy riposte were great fun last night though. Can't help feeling that Vardy - the epitome of a fan who's wandered on to the pitch with his boots on and just happens to be really good at football - completely gets all that stuff.

True.

I think it is just frustrating that we appear to have gone backwards from the second half of last season (not that this condones racist abuse or abusing our players). Our play is just too predictable when we need to break down a defence, and not just at Wembley.
