And yet through all that, Leicester win a title and an FA Cup, Wigan win an FA Cup, a massively declined Man United still pick up trophies here and there, Liverpool are self sufficient and one of the best teams in Europe, Arseholes built a stadium and are self sufficient and look good again.

Chelsea had won the league once before the money arrived in 1955, their trophy haul was less than ours.
So as I said the clubs that are bought by mega money are clubs that can progressed on the field.

Thing is though in that period 15-18 we had a good enough squad to win trophies. We just didn’t do it.
Also ‘pushing on’ = more money.

I do think that there is more of a strategy, and things may be going in the right direction, time will tell,
My problem is that I we have seen it all before and its very hard to believe that we will be successful under the leadership of ENIC. We had Arnessen, Comolli, Paratici all were meant to be the second coming, all ultimately failed to deliver. I know we had a few good years under Poch, and we sort of challenged for the league but it wasn't exactly down to the wire stuff. In reality we never seem to get the right combination of manager and players at the right time and this down to ENIC/Levy.
Lets hope I am wrong, but do you honestly expect us to challenge for the title next season? If not why not?

We had the best squad in the league for well over a year.
Poch failed to deliver with them, though he had earned the right to continue in his job at the time.
Had Levy sacked Poch in 2017/18 it would have seemed a terrible decision, though a more capable manager with the same squad I'm confident would have won us trophies. We had the right combination of players but not manager then - which is down to Levy but not something he should be criticised for.

I mean we haven't at all, this is the first time we've had such a setup in place with everyone literally pulling in the same direction, Munn/Lange/Ange/Levy.
Arsenen got poached by Chelsea before he got his foot in the door, nothing we can do about that. Even under Commoli we had Ramos dead against him and then when we sacked him Redknapp didn't want to work with a DOF. Poch didn't want to work with a DOF and the guy he wanted to work with was Mitchell but he eventually left because he didn't get on with Levy - Hitchen was a yes man and turned out to be a waste of time, historically it's been a bit of a mess.
I'm not sure what you mean about Paratici either, he's responsible for turning the club's fortunes around and he's the reason why our footballing infrastructure is looking so good now, there's a reason why Levy wants to keep him around and why he's still working with the club.
It's understandable why fans have run out of patience but I think it's bizarre that fans are denying the reality of what's going on at the club and using the past as some sort of justification for their confirmation bias as to what's happening at the club now.
To answer your question though I've always said that if we get the recruitment right in the Summer then we will challenge for the league, I have no doubt about that - I've never been more confident, in fact I have more questions about Ange at this stage than the recruitment/setup in regards to how he sets us up out of possession but I think he'll improve on that anyway.
