Nailed the truth.

We haven't for a pretty long time been a club that has consistently won things.

And with the the way Chelsea and Citu have bought their way to success we have found it even harder to do so.

My personal feelings towards them is similar to you however unlike some I do not hold them solely responsible for our on the pitch failures, we could, and should have won more trophies during their tenure than we have.

I'd still rather they go as we need to be paying more money for wages to bring in better players but like I've said, it's all a bit vacuous and pantomimey nowadays and it's only going to get more so
Nobody's upset that we're not winning trophies consistently though, people are upset because we don't win them at all. Kids who were born at the time we won the 2008 league cup have done their GCSEs and finished high school.

So no, I'm still not having he's nailed anything.

We are running out of credibility, the idea we can hire 5-10 more guys and we will unearth another gem I think is optimistic. Poch might come back at some point out of sentiment, I am not advocating for this by the way . However I doubt Poch if he was flying at Southampton today leaves for us . I am beginning to lose faith in Ange and will not cry if he goes , but we have had Nuno and Ange for a reason . We are not an attractive project to ANYONE worth their salt.
We could strike it lucky with the next guy.
It could be an Iraola, and he could stick around for 5 years like Poch and help heel a lot of the damage done by the likes of Nono and Ange.

Obviously Levy will go and get some homeless bum who once won a game in the Circus Tavern league instead, but we can hope. As hope is all we have left.

Your perogative bro.

We have certainly had the opportunity to win many, and often one more a year since we have been consistently in Europe more times under their stewardship than we have at any time in our entire clubs history.

Again, none of this is a call for them to stay.

Just adding a bit of perspective.

A couple of months ago I posted a lis of semi finals and finals we lost the last 15 off years.... most of them we had more than enough about us to win and had beaten the clubs we lost to in those seasons.

It generates 500M in revenue and could easily increase by 30% with some investment - rev has also grown year on year much higher than inflation
Yes, but revenue isn’t profit. As you say, the enterprise will need “some investment” but that’s the problem. Us Spurs fans here just want a successful football team but that - as we well know - will need a whole lot of investment and whoever comes in with £2.5 billion will certainly not just want it to be a football team, they’ll want it to be a revenue\profit\cash generator and I remain wondering what type of buyer we will attract.
Maybe a Saudi sports washer… (!)

Why would you leave the Circus Tavern League to work for Levy?

Not winning trophies is a symptom of the disease at Tottenham Hotspur.

The real underlying reason I, and I believe many others, are so disillusioned and angry is because there is a very obvious lack of ambition, frugality, incompetence and downright apathy for fans from the ownership of this club. The rot stems from the very top down and has turned our club into a soulless mess of a set up and has made us the laughing stock of the Premier League.

Trophies are fantastic of course. But if Ange flukes his way to a League Cup this season, if we are really honest with ourselves will that actually make any tangible difference or would it be the equivalent of putting a band aid over a shotgun wound?

I don't really agree with everything there to be 100% with you. I don't think many owners of PL clubs actually give a shit about the fans much more than ENIC, especially the "big six" owners. We saw that with the super league farce. Newcastles owners aren't here because they're big fans of Wor Horsepunchers or Brown Ale, they're here because Newcastle were a cheap punt and they're politically useful.

Its just some other owners are better at running their own field operations. And to be honest that's all I care about.

Newcastle’s main issue is FFP. They apparently want to spend a lot more but can’t because they are at their max. If they owned us with our very large FFP gap they would be probably buying players left right and centre. We actually are theoretical in a position to spend crazy on transfers and wages but don’t want to where as Newcastle are the total opposite.

Chelsea beat the system by selling all their infrastructure like women’s team and hotel.

Yeah but my point is in terms of actually caring about fans, I don't any other owners give a damn really.

Who cares....he's had plenty of good opportunities to reward fans with on pitch success in exchange for the 6800% growth in club value.

Please add your vote to the poll, better to know where we all stand

And managers and players alike have been given ample opportunity too. The amount of cup games we have lost when we have had every ability to win is as much on them.

Doesnt fit yours or other narratives so I understand it's easy to dismiss.

As I said to a previous poster... ENIC have given us the longest consistent period of European football (another potential trophy for many seasons) than we have ever had in our history

I voted Levy out because I want a change but it doesnt mean I have to agree with everything everyone who voted the same says, because I don't.

We deprioritise cups to prioritise league position. And when we don't the players are never sufficiently rotated to be in good condition relative to the clubs that win these conpetitions with deeper squads.

Even the CL final, we hardly went in as favourites. Kane was crocked and we had no serious backup.
