Levy In or Levy Out

Ange in or Ange out, I don’t know. I don’t believe we won the EL in spite of him but I wholeheartedly believe we won it in spite of Levy and Enic. I’m fairly certain that reading between the lines of ‘people within the club didn’t agree we should focus on the EL’ means that Levy and co were dead against it.

I'd sooner suggest that was Munn, Cullen or someone like that.

Levy's been obsessed with two things over the years: winning a trophy and getting CL football. There was no other way of doing that in January, so I can't see why he would have been against it tbh.
I say Cullen because even in the amazon doc it seemed like she didn't understand the football side

This week has shown the world that Spurs are a really massive club, much bigger than most thought. Not many clubs could have taken over Bilbao’s stadium and city, whilst also filling the best stadium in the world with fans at a watch-a-long. And then line the streets with 150k fans for a parade. This really feels like ‘a giant awakes’ and I really hope Levy realises what he has, and what an opportunity he has. We can go up so many levels if he takes off the handbrake and tries to actually win the league. Add 3-4 peak year / top drawer players to the current squad and we’ll transform. The likes of Villa and Newcastle can only dream of being as big as us.

If we could have continued success on the field then we could and should surpass them in terms of revenue.
Small point , we have overtaken Chelski in revenue, overtook them in 22-23 season , in the most recent Deloitte money league our revenue was circa 70 million euros higher. This season will be closer as they will earn higher PL prize money but our revenue from winning the Europa League which is approx double what the Conference League is worth and the 55,000 plus crowds for the home EL matches should keep us in front of them. I would like to see neither Chelski or Villa getting CL next season both will suffer financially without that revenue due to their very high wage bills.

PS If Chelski didn't keep falsifying their accounts our true revenue lead over them would probably be even higher , doesn't mean Levy is going to go big in the transfer market though.

Agree - they are a pack of cards… been propped up by wealthy wieners for 25 years. The money tap stops and they get relegated

I wonder how much money the club has made since Wednesday night. Online sales, club shop yesterday, new fans etc. Hopefully a ton, and Levy realises that winning stuff is also great financially for the club. Get that cheque book out, Daniel.

Much as I think too many people have gone overboard on Levy/ENIC at times and come up with a lot of hogwash, I also think we have to see a statement signing or 2 this summer.

Let's see them seek to make the most of unlikely fortune.

But the debate about not being able to win has been silenced and that is a good thing.

You just know had we lost on Wednesday, it would have been Levy's fault. Madness.

The club is still not right. Look at the bottom 4, West Ham, United, Spurs and Everton, all poorly run clubs on the football side. West Ham won a conference league, doesn’t mean Brady has suddenly become good. We are 17th in the league and would have been in a proper relegation fight if the bottom 3 weren’t so shit. This is a massive get out of jail free card. ENIC’s trophy is in the summer, if they get 4-5 top level players worthy of CL football they will have redeemed themselves, if not little has changed.

My point has been made.

Not for one second would I say everything was as it should be.

For those wanting to know what praise of ENIC would be and what a good window that no fan could complain about it’s something like the below as the below would give us IMO a CL level type squad that could and should compete.

Mbuemo
Delap/Eketete
Cordosa
Hincapie
Eze

Something like this would mean the club has given the manager all the tools to do the job and for me it would represent taking this opportunity. This is also assuming Romero leaves for AM which kind of seems sadly inevitable.

If this is the window then far as I am concerned the club and board did enough and we can have no complaints.

Well no, because they immediately sacked the manager that won it and took the club immediately back and regressed by hiring a buffoon. We have to be very careful about how we proceed, or else we can easily end up the same
