The optics of sacking him straight after winning the Europa League are the optics of a club saying "thanks for your efforts, but 20+ League defeats and a 4th from bottom finish is totally unacceptable. The door is over there.
Keeping him on would show us up as an utter shambles of a club with zero ambition to compete at the top

The board and Ange are a match made in heaven i.e. same mediocrity, but sadly, there's collateral from that i.e. a football team and the fans.

Great post. Palace just beating city & winning the fa cup is another example of that. Levy/ENIC & the levy lovers hiding behind the “we shouldn’t expect trophies as we can’t compete with the super rich teams like city”. Liverpool only bought chiesa & won the title. Newcastle have won the league cup & although spent a good amount, nothing crazy. Inter & psg in the CL final with a psg team who got rid of expensive mbappe & an inter team who haven’t spent huge amounts.
Then as you say in the premier league Brentford & Brighton’s are out doing bigger spenders season after season by being competent with clear vision & structure.
That’s why it’s double bad for us. Levy don’t like to spend big. & he is too incompetent to grow & make us successful with what we do have.. In fact when he does try to spend more he does a terrible job of it. We have a bad ownership model that doesn’t spend big. Can’t believe we barely win anything!

My old club Bracknell are doing free ST’s next season for food bank contributions…. I know the owners has put in about 2M. Not loads but more than Levy has - this is step 3 and whilst wealthy, the owner is not a billionaire
