It's a nonsense situation with the squad.

I talked all summer of us needing an overhaul. It was painfully obvious and within that another striker was crucial.

But whoever we had brought in does not excuse the lethargy and lack of dynamism in this squad at present.
 
No way that Levy should be gone. But he’s doing too much. The stadium was a huge project for him personally and he’s also working on the NFL and getting both codes of rugby into the stadium. He insists on managing all transfers and commercial football decisions too. He can’t do it all effectively. He should focus on what he’s best at (his call) and get support on from elsewhere for the rest. DoF maybe?

Good post.
Levy clearly is at fault for not backing Poch when he was most vocal last summer.
Even this summer, we only managed to make one first team signing prior to deadline day. Absolutely shambolic way to treat a manager who'd done so much to raise the clubs profile and achieve the record breaking profit announcement.

And Poch is at fault for allowing the discourse between himself and the board to filter down to the players and performances we're seeing today.

It's a fucking mess. But the mess will continue to fester until the roots are dug out once and for all.

Nobody has been trying to build a stadium either.

Yes its fucked up. But weve overachieved generally. Considering we havnt had any money spent in years.
 
Poch knew how poor the squad was , in fact we all knew with the poor run since January. But the CL heroics and huge luck covered the cracks. We just squeezed to top 4 by 1 point margin.

Poch said new stadium needs a team to match, he said needs of signings, he said overhaul. All fail on deaf ears of the narrow minded board who know F all about football, they are specialist in making personal financial gains and don't care less to succeed on the pitch. Have these owners ever won a trophy?! Will they ever!

If the board makes the same profit or even more by hosting NFL and different activities and maintaining THFC in the PL, they won't bother to invest in the footballing side which is a higher risk for them. This is a possible scenario, fans who think non footballing events would not affect THFC are deluded.

We were so close to winning the PL, now we are getting closer to relegation. Thank you DL.

We just don’t have the formula right now.
I just don’t see how Levy can be trying to make this club elite while allowing it to slide into a relegation battle which will be screened around the world.
Surely his best marketing tool would be to sack Poch and get in Jose/Allegri/Ancelotti and turn this club into the title contenders he needs us to be to attract the interest to pay off this stadium.

This isnt about transfer windows at this point. Something is rotten and the idle inactivity of our owners is a major concern.
It suggests to me that they are distracted with other things, and that’s just unacceptable.

I’m starting to see a scenario where we are as plastic as City, but no better than West Ham

This is the most worrying aspect at the moment. I'm resigned with the fact that Poch can't get us out of this mess, but I'm at least expecting Levy to do something.
