Take a look at the last 20 years and have a guess?Thats unacceptable. Levy has a big decision to make in summer. Does he stick or twist giving ange money to spend or clean break?
Werner is not a dribble merchant- he runs into space well. And that’s about it. Sometimes he doesn’t even do that.We have that in Werner. Why would we spend funds on an unnecessary sidegrade?
Well I don’t know we’ll be able to buy either but it sounds like a cool plan.It doesn’t take much research - Eze or Nico Williams would be transformational.
I honestly don’t think Levy is going to spend 70m on a winger that it would take to get Nico or Eze.Well I don’t know we’ll be able to buy either but it sounds like a cool plan.
The only thing I can think of is we’re trying to avoid the player made of glass picking up an injury before we can flog him.I have enjoyed watching Lo Celso the last few times he has played.
I would far rather have him starting than Kulusevski in the middle or Bentancur in that creative role.
(I still like Kulu and Bentancur, just in other positions!)
Just saw Angela's post match. He's a broken man. Watch this space!
I didn’t watch the presser, but damn, that is an awfully damning freudian slip.I saw the presser and it was all fine until the bit where he said "Spurs need a manager who can guide them to the top - whether that's me or not, we'll have to wait and see"
Could have done without that last sentence if I'm honest Ange.
If we really are the 9th richest club in the world, then we really can afford to buy anyone...so what's stopping us....wait a sec....sorry...not thinking properly....Mitoma for one. And a whole lot of others well out of our price range.
I mean I agree with you all- we should be able to afford elite players. But Levy and ENIC simply aren’t going to do that.If we really are the 9th richest club in the world, then we really can afford to buy anyone...so what's stopping us....wait a sec....sorry...not thinking properly....
Look Airfix I’m not gonna split hairs with you over a stupid argument. Our model is ineffective at getting what we want so we either change approach or change expectations or change management or change ownership. Something has to give and I know for sure it won’t be Levy or ENIC.
From the few mates I have down under, it’s typical Aussie bravado to tackle that sort of question head on.I saw the presser and it was all fine until the bit where he said "Spurs need a manager who can guide them to the top - whether that's me or not, we'll have to wait and see"
Could have done without that last sentence if I'm honest Ange.
Please go argue something else.Sorry fella; none of this is a case of "splitting hairs"........... You've claimed to want to learn from Brighton without looking very intently at what that actually constitutes if transposed onto this club. (of course if there's traits to Brighton that I've not considered; I suspect you would have pointed them out by now.)
"Something needs to change [give]"..... If that's the extent of the level of detail you're prepared to indulge then fine without getting annoyed; I agree........ The change I'd like to see is to win more games and trophies.
I wanted change and thought "something has to give" in terms of our scouting and recruitment team for a long while and the new crop - whilst not boasting a 100% hit rate - have proven better.
......Any further positive change or upswing will be gratefully welcomed.
I already said it- we don’t do enough business. If you disagree- that’s great- you’re entitled to your opinion........But you're not capable of establishing what it is?
......................Unless you are and you just chose to expend all this energy and have petty digs at me instead?
You do you, fella.
Wow. That's a telling line.I saw the presser and it was all fine until the bit where he said "Spurs need a manager who can guide them to the top - whether that's me or not, we'll have to wait and see"
Could have done without that last sentence if I'm honest Ange.
