I have enjoyed watching Lo Celso the last few times he has played.

I would far rather have him starting than Kulusevski in the middle or Bentancur in that creative role.

(I still like Kulu and Bentancur, just in other positions!)

The only thing I can think of is we’re trying to avoid the player made of glass picking up an injury before we can flog him.

Nothing else seems to make much sense.
 
Really good friend of mine is a tree surgeon...and a friggin Woolwich fan, but one of the good ones (there's a couple).

Just texted me that when a tree is sick and it's incurable, you don't just trim a few branches hoping new & stronger ones will grow. What you do is chop the whole thing up and start afresh.

I mean I agree with you all- we should be able to afford elite players. But Levy and ENIC simply aren’t going to do that.

Levy will die with an enormous bank account- I guarantee that. That’s the kind of ownership we have.

Sorry fella; none of this is a case of "splitting hairs"........... You've claimed to want to learn from Brighton without looking very intently at what that actually constitutes if transposed onto this club. (of course if there's traits to Brighton that I've not considered; I suspect you would have pointed them out by now.)


"Something needs to change [give]"..... If that's the extent of the level of detail you're prepared to indulge then fine without getting annoyed; I agree........ The change I'd like to see is to win more games and trophies.

I wanted change and thought "something has to give" in terms of our scouting and recruitment team for a long while and the new crop - whilst not boasting a 100% hit rate - have proven better.

......Any further positive change or upswing will be gratefully welcomed.

From the few mates I have down under, it’s typical Aussie bravado to tackle that sort of question head on.

The interviewer was insinuating and he just told him how it is. It’s just the difference culturally IMHO.

I don’t think we should read too much into it.

Can’t you just join a philosophy forum or something where people want to entertain your tediously long posts?
 
If we do have to accept 4th or 5th every season then ticket prices shouldnt be so high. Had a look at burnley game the other week. One ticket was 173 quid. Can fly to spain and back paying that. Ludicrous.
