Player Lucas Bergvall

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We won’t win another PL game until he gets back.

Our midfield is beyond worthless without him and Bentancur and I think Bentancur is terrible. Until Lucas gets back, we will have to continue playing this group of cloggers who can’t keep hold of the ball and we will just get battered over and over.

Playing Gray and Bergvall in the middle may give us a slight glimmer of hope that we can control a match for any length of time.
They were also in the middle together for one of our only home wins (Burnley)

He was repeatedly shit.

A one trick pony on the right, and not much better in the middle.

Constantly made the wrong decisions...

We are not missing him at all.

That game had me cautiously optimistic for the Frank era, bringing the youth in from the off and trusting them for the first game of the season, not waiting until everyone else was crippled and there was no other option before dropping them into a shitshow and hoping for the best.

Had me expecting sensible rotation to manage the squad and some vibrant performances and solid player development, with the home hoodoo already done away with...

Great news! Him and Kudus back would help us a ton for the run-in.

Hope Potter is cautious with him on international duty (I assume he'll get called up).
Sweden have more or less said that they won't call him up for the qualifiers. Our squad is presented tomorrow so I would be shocked if he gets the call.

About as shocked as I would be if they still keep Swedberg out of the team given our injuries in attack.

Ok that's good news. I was worried they might rush him given how important the games are for them but given he's had persistent injuries I think it's sensible to be cautious and protect his long term fitness.

Yeah. The news up here has always been that he wouldn't be back until after these internationals either way. So him being in the squad for tomorrow has thrown our journos for a loop.

So I will caveat that this may change the FA's decision.
I could see the logic in letting him travel with the NT to train. Some more higher paced training than what he'd do at Hotspur way over the break.

Earlier than predicted return is a real bonus for us - lightens the burden on our stretched midfield and gives us options at last.
Yeah - notable that he's still the 2nd highest rated player this season across all the player rating threads and that's with him playing only like 1 or 2 games under Frank in his best position.

Probably too early for him to start either of the next 2 but him off the bench against Forest could be really useful.
