How many millions of people watched you during your first lesson?
Did some of them hurl abuse at you when you sat down? Were thousands attacking you about a facebook or twitter post?
This is not some kid on his way to uni.
Making a bit of a meal out of this. Dier's parents left him in Portugal at 15, he turned out ok.

Also, Bergval is 18 - Spurs can get him a work permit but I doubt there's a "Mum clause" for homesick new-adults.

People are slagging each other off on social media constantly from their early teens. Why do you think there is a campaign against kids having smart phones when very young ?

...at least he won't have a student loan to contend with when he 'graduates'...

So, there is that!

...#everycloud!

Terrible parenting by Mr & Mrs Bergwall...

They've brought their son up to be athletic, talented, mature beyond his years, with a good work ethic, and who will probably be set for life financially before he's 24...

.. and yet they're packing him off to a strange foreign land at 18.... without any care or attention to his well being...

Someone call the Swedish social services!

As a parent myself, there is no fucking way I would let a teenager loose, alone with a lot of money but little life experience, in the shark infested waters of modern football. Let alone having to deal with the emotional stress of performing in front of thousands in a game and millions on TV.
It didn't work out too well for Dele, did it?
Anyway, I knew this would happen and I regret not just leaving it after my first post.

Knew what would happen? It's his first day and he's turned up as he was expected to?

Practically every footballer that moves abroad moves without their parents, some even move much younger than 18.

Best way to gain life experience as a young adult is to make mistakes, you mature much quicker when you have your own responsibilities as opposed to running back to your parents all the time.

Dele moved 50 miles South down the M1... If he can't handle THAT, then he was never gonna survive anything else!!

Same as Gazza... Some people CAN handle it, some can't.

The kid Bellingham seems to be doing ok in what is now his second foreign country!

Age has only a fraction to do with it...

Upbringing, morals and principles are WAY more important!

Dele’s issue clearly stem from a terrible childhood , you might have a point but Dele does not make it

Agree with your last line. Although I heard one parent lives with Jude and the other lives with Jobe. I don't know if his parents are divorced or not.
