I'm not sure you read that properly mate..... Not saying that none of them have the ability to start games this season. I'm rejecting the premature notion that they can all start at the same time within the coming weeks and that collectively they can shoulder the fate of our season.

The optics of our pre-season shouldn't be expected to translate to full-steam EPL football.
Thing is the optics of our preseason are already translating into full-steam PL football, as was evidenced yesterday. Granted just a quarter of a game, but it's obvious that Bergvall and Gray are comfortable at this level. They're not all going to get shoved into the first team right away, but Bergvall initially is a decent possibility. And if the rest show the same promise as him, why not them too. Remains to be seen.

He stepped up to take a FK we needed to score on to win the game and he did everything right, put it on a plate for Richy, who promptly did nothing with it. Bergvall’s FK was absolutely clutch and dead on. He might already be our best indirect FK guy, with maybe only Maddison being (proven) better as a direct FK kicker right now. Super impressive stuff.

As far as Vic goes, his reaction was a bit over the top. They’ll be fine but for me it speaks to a bit of an unfortunate seniority complex in the players.

You mean the same manager that’s brought an 18 year old kid from the Swedish league and thrown him straight into the premier league. What a rigid bastard he is
It’s clear your ego is a little bit caught up in needlessly defending Ange- a grown man who makes and claims responsibility for his own decisions.

I wouldn’t call Ange rigid, but he is obviously very stubborn and has often had his judgment in game management and substitutions brought into question. Playing Werner at RW yesterday after us never having seen it tried once before, even in preseason, was sadly counterproductive, amateur level shit. There can be no defending that move.

He did actually play Werner right wing in pre season....
